Never realized this place was here, I’m glad I stopped in for lunch omw down 74.It’s pretty dark inside which messed with my eyes a bit and were also playing a movie instead of music for background listening, but it was sort of loud. Those were really the only downside. The service was good, the prices are great, and the BBQ is the best I’ve had in the state! A regular plate was enough of a potion for me, I’m stuffed. Will definitely be revisiting the next time I’m in the area.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to relatives in Charlotte. The BBQ and chicken (nice and crispy) are delicious. The hush puppies melt in your mouth and the coleslaw is creamy and crunchy. We’ll be back on our next trip through!
Cute . The decor was very old south. The service was great! Food.. fair. Mine was the catfish. It was good. My husband's food was lousy. He had the bbq that was not smoked on sight. You couldn't smell the bbq, and being a chef I knew better than to order bbq. I would recommend going for the experience. Don't order the bbq.

After a long day in the road, you really appreciate a nice dinner. I read the reviews and gave it a try. I sure am glad we did!! This is a rustic little log cabin place, with so many interesting things to look at. And the food was terrific. Freshly made to order, so tasty. I had fried chicken breast and wing, best ever. My husband had fried shrimp and he raved about each bite. He also enoyed the bbq. Like other reviewers, it was enjoyable to learn the story of this place. The family that has had this through the years quite obviously takes pride in the good thing they have going. We are just passing thru on the way back to PA, but sure hope to visit again.

Delicious food, unique and fun atmosphere, great prices and all family owned-operated. Absolutely the best pork chop I’ve ever had!Kid-friendliness: My son loved exploring and looking at all the farming memorabilia on the walls.
Right off Hwy 41 between Fairmont and Lumberton nestled in a wooded area is this quaint rustic restaurant oozing with character and charm and unbelievably low prices. The food was amazing. Unfortunately they're only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays so call or Google the place to make sure they're open.

Stopped here off the highway for something to eat & let me just say this was the most authentic BBQ place. The eastern BBQ sauce & the Smokey flavor was insanely delicious. I got the regular BBQ plate and it comes with hush puppies, fries, and cold slaw. Everything was fantastic including the service. Not sure when we will ever be driving through Lumberton again, but if we do I'll be sure to stop here again. Seriously recommend. (Also the place is super cool).

A charming, multi-generational, family-run restaurant operating from their converted tobacco barn.Chicken is fried to order and perfectly done. Hush puppies are great, and served with honey butter. Served 3 piece chicken with two sides and a large basket of hush puppies and a drink for $12 total, surprisingly inexpensive on a Friday night.Service was friendly, and enjoyed hearing the family’s history. Looking forward to returning. Thank you!
