“Im from Philadelphia, moved here 3 years ago. They have the closest thing to a philly cheese steak, yummy!! Their stromboli's and pizzas are the best ive had, so far also.”

“Do t let the outside fool you. I go here ateast once a week. The best burgers I have had in a long time. Most friendly staff and owners. I recommend anything on their menu, but I always get the double bacon cheeseburger, large cheese sticks, and a sweet tea. Refills are frequent, and they offer a full cup to go when you pay. I have t seen such good service since my grandparents owned a restaurant up in Smith Mountain Lake.”

“I drove from Charlotte to check out River Club and the adorable town of Madison. I have visited many breweries and was very impressed by the quality of beers coming from the tanks of such a young operation. The IPA and amber lager were fantastic!The building is beautiful… built in 1905 and full of character - love the exposed brick. The holiday decor was a great touch. Charlie was working the taproom and is a great, genuine guy. I also met one of the owners there who is working hard to make the space a welcoming place for everyone.I saw the strong support from locals on a Sunday afternoon and I can tell this place will help carry on the continuing growth in Madison. I look forward to making another visit soon!”

“I stopped in today for a cup of coffee and a bakery item for my daughter. The coffee was absolutely delicious and the bakery items are definitely kid and adult approved ?? I ordered a hot latte with oat milk and caramel and it was amazing !The atmosphere was so warm and Inviting, and I will be bringing my family next time !”

“Try to eat-in when we can. It's a great all-around little downtown diner!!Parking: It's a down-town diner, so space, access & ♿ access are limited. There aren't any kid-friendly areas for play or anything, but the menu does cater to kids appetites too. “Went to Southern Spirits for a rehearsal dinner during my stay in North Carolina. The private event space was absolutely massive! Everything was taken care of by the staff and those who coordinated the event.The parents of the groom ordered me chicken tenders from downstairs and they were the crunches and juiciest chicken tenders I ever had. Take notes, Zaxby's and Raising Canes!I went downstairs towards the end of the night and tried the fried pickles. This is the first time I have not gotten food poisoning from fried pickles like I have back in Florida. Even when I ate all my leftovers yesterday, the fried pickles stayed crispy and crunchy no matter what even after I put them in the fridge at the BNB I was staying at.I wish that Southern Spirits was in my state because I want to try a lot more from the menu. This was my favorite restaurant in North Carolina hands down!The service, the atmosphere and food were all amazing!Kid-friendliness: There is a kid menu but it is only for a certain age and under.”

“My second time here. The food was wonderful. We drive here from walnut cove because the restaurant there is always crowded with no place to park. But here even when they're busy they always have ample parking and plenty of tables available to cut down on wait time. They have been well staffed each time we've been and never waited long for service. The street tacos are delicious and the red sauce that comes with them is very spicy and delicious. We were quick in, quick out. No complaints and great food. I can't ask for more.”

“I went at lunch and it was very busy. I was disappointed to see that they only had one wait person working the entire room, cashing and busting tables. I felt sorry for her, she worked really hard but it would have been better if they'd had more staff.”

“The Managers and Staff go ABOVE AND BEYOND to provide the best service possible to their guests every day. They've worked short handed many times and still provided good service and good food. The number of customers that come on a regular basis is enough proof of that. The dining room is one of the cleanest of any establishment in our area. If an order is wrong, all you have to do is speak to a manager and they always make it right for you. As for the evening shift, there are a lot of teens that work those hours and there are lots of new faces behind the counter so show a little grace. Mistakes happen. When a restaurant will gladly fix something for you, that's great customer service! The Management team is the BEST! Chicken tenders are very delicious and one of my favorites. Keep up the great work!”

“We had a large order and they got it right! First time its ever happened at any McDonalds. This is our first time here. The gentleman that brought the order out was very nice and spoke to my daughter who told him thank you. The order came out the fastest it ever has anywhere and the food was hot and delicious. “The food and service was great!! If you’re looking for a family owned, southern cooking restaurant, this is it!I ordered the tenderloin, deviled eggs, and potato cakes with buck bread for dessert. The potato cakes and buck bread were phenomenal!I don’t think you’ll be disappointed stopping here for lunch. The staff was very nice! We came in at 1:30, they close at 2, and they let us sit there till at least 2:30 still serving us. They were super kind and made it a good experience!”

“Curbside Cakery is amazing. Danielle made our wedding cake as well as some extra desserts (lemon bars and chocolate dipped rice crispy treats) . The pricing is good, and the customer service is above and beyond. We texted back and forth about the details, and Danielle even helped us look for cake toppers when we were struggling to find something we loved. When we wanted to add a personal touch/design, Danielle allowed us to send over a personal stencil that I created, and she tested it early to ensure it would work. It did and the wedding cake was perfect. Everything was delicious!Curbside Cakery is not local to me, just our wedding venue, but after this experience, I would travel to work with them again. I highly recommend Curbside.”

They are always very polite and welcome you into the door with a warm smile and it's a vibe that people search for in small towns. “What a find! We live in "Twin Peaks" and figured we would go see "Northern Exposure" about an hour from us in Roslyn, WA. Got hungry and ventured into the Red Bird Cafe, and glad we wandered in! Aside from the wonderfully eclectic mix of 50s formica tables with chrome and vinyl abounding on chairs, it just feels so welcoming as soon as you walk in. Breakfast items captured our attention and I ordered the biscuit and gravy (First ordered the double thinking they were small, but the server advised me that they were really big and I appreciated his honesty) and my husband got the breakfast sammy on a croissant. They were both massive and absolutely yummy! My gravy had just a bit of a kick to it that made it even more delicious and the biscuit was flaky and ginormous! My hub's delight was a two-handed sammy and he savored every bite. Both of our servers were fabulous and very attentive, and it was just such a great experience for a Sunday brunch. We will definitely visit there again!”
