We went for lunch a couple of weeks ago from Canton. It’s the first time that we’ve been to the Maggie Valley location and I can’t say enough great things about it! We will definitely be back. Special shout out to the chef who made the amazing Pad Thai. I’ve been looking for authentic Pad Thai since I left the UK and moved to North Carolina. It was really fantastic! Beers, ambience and servers were amazing too!

Nice place to eat and cool atmosphere. My rating is a little lower due to some guest experiences we had but overall the restaurant was nice and food was OK. We got the Pretzel as an appetizer and it was good.

The sandwiches were ok (in short, their suppliers cause flooding changed) but not exactly what we ordered. They had a nice selection of craft beers as well.

As pictured with my review is their "chicken philly". It was OK but we weren't told about meals not being as stated due to there supply shortage. The sandwich I received is basically a chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon. The fries were delicious though! It seemed as though everything we ordered was slightly different then what the menu said.

Our server was great and had a nice sense of humor. I would give this place another chance once they're running at full steam again. Like I said it was a great place but just had some short comings due to the recent flooding but glad they were still open! I would recommend trying them out if you're in the area!

We recently visited BearWaters for dinner and had a good experience. We were seated promptly and it didn’t appear too busy. Our waitress came over almost immediately and took our drink orders. In general, the service was good and we had no complaints throughout. Our party ordered from the Thai menu, and enjoyed our Pad Thai and Drunkin Noodles. It was truly authentic and delicious. If anything, our only complaint would be the price - it was much more expensive than a typical Thai restaurant. Our Pad Thai with chicken was about $28. It wouldn’t stop us from visiting in the future, but I would caution that you could be spending $25+ for a basic dish.

Parking: Parking lot gets full easily

Slow service, unfriendly staff. Bathrooms are unclean and smell as soon as you walk in. My friend chicken sandwich also came out black. Would not recommend

Clean, friendly and fast service. The elk/bison burger with blue cheese was great! The mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had!

Scenery was great, but service was really bad and it wasn’t even busy. Our drinks sat on the bar for 20 minutes and were watered down

Beer was good, food is OK and service is pretty poor. The restaurant seemed empty and our table ordered 1 small and 2 large pizzas. It took 3p min for the first pizza, 45 for the second and over an hour to get the last small pizza. This is ridiculous. Do not come here and order pizza. Apps also came out with the entrees, even for a simple pretzel. Maybe for drink creekside it's OK, but at lunch with a family, this is a pass.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting BearWaters Brewing Company, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The moment I stepped in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming mountain atmosphere. The live piano player added a lovely touch, playing a great selection of family-friendly holiday tunes that really got everyone in the mood.

But what really impressed me was the food and drink menu. From the classic chicken club to the mouth-watering Ribeye steak, there was something for everyone. I was blown away by the variety and quality of the options, and I can honestly say that nothing disappointed. The service was top-notch, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Overall, I would highly recommend BearWaters Brewing Company to anyone looking for a great dining experience in a beautiful mountain setting. It's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some good food and drink with family and friends.

I was so sad to learn that Hurricane Helene had taken out the brewery because Snownado is my all time favorite beer. When I told our server Angela that Snownado was my favorite, she said, “Wait, let me try something,” and came back a few minutes later with a concoction that was at least as good as Snownado, if not better!! How kind!! She didn’t want me to be disappointed and ended up making my day! Thank you, Angela!❤️

Tried to order some food to-go to enjoy in our cabin for our last night of family vacation and was turned away. Bartender with a "holier-than-thou" attitude told me they were too busy for to-go food, unless I wanted chicken wings or pizza (and I'd have to wait 45 minutes for that). Yet, they weren't on a wait and had plenty of open tables.

It wasn't even that they were running a limited menu, she told me if I were dining there I could order whatever I wanted. It was evident that she just didn't want to be bothered with a to-go order.

What a shame. We've been coming to the area for years and always make a point to visit BearWaters, but service has definitely gone down. We were so excited to support one of our favorite local spots in a trying time of need, but clearly they don't want the business. Next time we'll support others local restaurants while in the area.

The food and beer were both great. This hidden gem in the valley does it up right. I'll be back for sure. The Thai fusion dishes were out of this World. Delicious rib eyed too!

We were very happy with the food, atmosphere, so we went back again several days later. However, the woman at the door was still in a “mood.” Rude, unfriendly! The bartender was excellent- helpful, friendly and served us well. The waitress was NOT! She also seemed to be unhappy about working, abrupt and sometimes even unwelcoming to us. We recommend the food and the atmosphere, but staff needs to be more customer service oriented.

If you are in the area you have to stop here!! The service and food are excellent!! Our server Angela was top notch as well as the atmosphere. It's always great to enjoy a meal on the water. We had the pizza and pretzel and we can't wait to go back. It is a brewery but they have a full bar and wine which is nice, especially since my mother-in-law doesn't enjoy beer. Ask for Angela, she will go out or her way to make sure you are happy and taken care of. Oh and did I mention you can get a beer flight?? Can't go wrong with that!!
