Cafe Italiano Restaurant & Pizzeria

Drove from Harrah's Resort in Cherokee for Italian. We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant.

The atmosphere was nice. It was nicely decorated and super clean. Clean is so important to us. The table was spotless, the carpet was in excellent shape and CLEAN. We watched the owner move the table and vacumn under it and wipe the tables down himself.

For dinner, we had lasagna and Sampler Genova. Both were fresh and seasoned excellently. Our salad was crisp and fresh.

When in Maggie Valley, stop in at Cafe Italiano. Owner Kevin and waitress Heather will give you good suggestions and take care of you.

The ambience, taste and overall experience was splendid. We ordered garlic breads, thin crust pizza, alfredo pasta. All was exceptional and the taste was very good, a highly recommend restaurant.

Really enjoyed the pizza. It taste like fresh ingredients and the crust is crunchy but also soft. Service was polite but lacking anything special. Slow paced environment but good. Great price.

This evening, my husband went to order and use a gift certificate that a renter had purchased for us as a thank you. Unfortunately, the "new owner" (who I suspect may be an employee merely claiming to be the owner, as a true owner would not treat customers this way) not only refused to accept the certificate but also embarrassed my husband by implying that it was not authentic. As residents of the Valley, we often dine here and have recommended it to others, but we will no longer be doing so. This is not how you treat customers. The situation could have been handled with much more professionalism.

Pizza didn't have sauce. After first bite threw it away. Called and told them. They offered another pizza. We declined, you forgot sauce on a pizza.

It was a foggy misty day in Maggie Valley. My family of 5 was hungry. We had our dalmatian with us and decided to try this place because they had an outside table so our son could sit with our pup. We walked inside to an inviting italianesque atmosphere. Grapes hanging on vines and soft lighting on the ceilings gave a great ambiance.I ordered the Sampler of Genoa with Meatballs, Fettucine carbonara and chicken parmigiana. My daughter got the Alfredo and the rest of the family shared a pepperoni pizza. Our food was fantastic. Due to a callout, Carolyn our waitress was the only service staff there today but she rocked at keeping our drinks filled and making sure we had everything we needed. The prices were super reasonable. If you are in Maggie Valley stop in and grab a bite. You won't be disappointed.

Best pasta I've ever tried! We ordered a Carbora and a Chicken Pargiana, they were both amazing! The waitress was very sweet and attentive, even having to attend all the tables. I would give it 10/5 ☆ for how good this place is. The flavor is just amazing! The pictures were after we had already killed the carbonara lol
