Mexican food is my favorite. My girlfriend and I have wanted to see about this place for several months. If you live in the area, you have likely been in there when it was another bar. Although we were very hungry and thirsty, it was too early to belly up to the bar. So we ordered enchiladas and I had a taco while she had the burrito. Certainly not what I expected. Beef, beans, and rice. Greasy and not enough enchilada sauce to get my napkin dirty. The sweet tea was good. The only server that was there did not check on us at all after the food was delivered. Sat in the booth behind us rolling silverware at a volume that can only be described as severely insulting. Even after looking over my shoulder a time or two to maybe you've heard of the hint that her actions were extremely inconsiderate, she continued. Our tea was never topped off and finally had to ask her if we could get our ticket. So, all in all it was NOT worth the time, money, or absolutely incredible amount of heartburn that I have right now as I write this review. And I have drank about 30% of a bottle of Maalox.

Ordered a steak quesadilla and 3 tacos. Waitress asked if I wanted a cheese quesadilla and add steak. I said well I guess but I always just order it as a steak quesadilla. Been eating them there for a while now and that’s how I always order it. I mean like twice a week. No one has ever questioned anything. When it came out it was a cheese quesadilla platter with salad, rice and pico and the added steak that I didn’t order. I asked her about it and told her that’s not what I ordered and her response was well the other steak quesadilla is smaller. I said I know because that is what I always order. I asked about a price difference and she stated that it was about the same price as the platter. When we had to pay bill it was much more expensive and something I didn’t eat. Is this just a way to charge customers more money? She offered to correct the order nor did she offer an apology. When I got ready to do my review I noticed a week ago another customer had the exact same problem. HMM!!!! How convenient to charge customers for something more than what they actually ordered and didn’t want to begin with. She definitely lied about the price.

Ordered a la cart quesadilla. Came out with rice and lettuce and pico. Bill came I was charged for the quesadilla platter which was $10 more than the a la cart. When I notified the server of the mistake/misunderstanding I was told that since I boxed my leftovers up and took it she was charging me for the platter. When pressed, she got her (rude terrible attitude and argumentative) manager who was more interested in arguing than actually helping. I've been a server for 20 years, currently at the Biltmore estate. Even if it was a neutral mistake (I didn't say a la cart, she didn't ask) the reataurant takes the L because I don't know your damn menu! She then made me go get my leftovers and give them to her before she would refund my card and re-ring the order In.Never in my life have I experienced such God awful customer service at any restaurant I've ever eaten. She escalated the situation, refused to admit wrong doing, was never there to help with an issue, and absolutely should NEVER be able to run a restaurant anywhere. This is the first review I've ever written in my life. It was THAT egregious. I'm literally standing outside right now writing the review.NEVER COME HERE!!!Just moved to the area too and was hoping for a dope Mexican spot. You just lost an entire family of regulars because of your poor management. Good luck!

This was my first visit and I was not disappointed! BEST MEXICAN IN THE COUNTY! The top shelf margaritas and mangonada were outstanding! The food amazing (had shrimp chimichanga) and the service delightful. I am a local and I will be returning frequently.*travel tip: the locals know where the best restaurants are!**THIS WAS NOT A PAID REVIEW! Went here because the other Mexican restaurant in MV was too busy. There’s nothing special about this place. Food and service were acquit. The music being played became annoying. It was either the same song being played over and over again or it was the same Mexican band, who’s music all sounds the same. Either way, it was a relief to leave.

I got the grilled chicken quesadilla and my friend got Shrimp tacos and everything was amazing! Unlike many Mexican restaurants, this one does have local beer. And I got the Innovation Tropical IPA which was great! I love the Day of the Dead theme/ décor. I would love to get one of the t-shirts that the waitresses were wearing and they also had giant cute bows in their hair To go along with the theme. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. I will definitely come back! Thank you!Dietary restrictions: My friend has gluten intolerance and they do have many gluten-free options.
