Stopped by for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The lady working was very nice with a pleasant smile. It was freezing inside, although it wasn’t that cold outside. The lady went outside to cook the food, that seemed very odd. The food was not very hot and didn’t seem fresh. Taste was bland at best.I don’t expect this place to be around for long.

It’s a cute place. The female employee was very friendly. It was cool to see a Spanish TV show on the TVIt was a slow cold Tuesday in late November so I didn’t expect to see a crowd in the area.I ordered a steak burrito. Senorita asked me if I wanted tortilla chips. . I said yes. The chips were obviously store bought round bagged chips. They were cold. I was shown the salsa table. The salsa wasn’t that bad but very basic.Senorita then went out the front door and returned a few minutes later with my food. I was served a small burrito on a paper plate with a little rice on the side. The steak didn’t seem to be very fresh. She told me they cook the food outside in the food truck. I was disappointed. I would choose Taco Bell over this place any day. Maybe they will improve.

This tiny restaurant is a culinary gem in the small town of Maggie Valley. The staff and chef provided excellent service. I can honestly say that I had some of the best eggs Benedict of my life - black garlic bread, smoked salmon, roasted vegetables, and spot on Hollandaise. My husband ordered "the chef's whim" and loved the dish. They also sell pastries and breads. If you don't have a meal here you're missing out!

Must go! We enjoyed breakfast at The Chef & The Baker three times during our five day vacation in Maggie Valley. If you're looking for gourmet food and elevated breakfast dishes look no further.

Delicious food made in house and a friendly staff to boot. So glad this place exists!

The best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. All the bread is so good we left with a loaf of bread and half a dozen bagels to take home. Definitely a must-go if you are in Maggie Valley!

Stopped on a whim and had the most incredible breakfast! Gourmet breakfast with fresh baked sourdough bread in the middle of Maggie Valley? I thought I was in Asheville or better yet back in Santa Barbra CA. I highly recommend.

Great addition to the smoky mountain vacation area. If you like food that is real, not frozen, and prepared fresh with great ingredients, this is the place for you. If you like to eat at chain restaurants where they plop everything in a fryer and call it done...keep going to your local chili's. The chef makes a mean hollandaise sauce and the baker's bread is awesome. Enough said. The food is awesome. The ambience is still lacking a little but it will come along as they grow and prosper. The food is awesome!!!

If you really enjoy great professional cooking, fresh food (not frozen), this place is what you are looking for! It's still a work in progress, but just opened and doing great. Owners are a nice couple that made the leap to start their own business. You have to try the Crab Benedict!!!!

Love this place! They use high quality ingredients, and are clearly passionate and dedicated to their art & cuisine. I've not seen anything comparable in this area. The egg sandwich is literally the best breakfast sandwich (add goat cheese and avocado) I've ever had. It's as good or better than anything I've had in Santa Monica or West LA, which is full of similar type places. The banana pudding (vegan, no processed sugar) is to die for. Also order a loaf of homemade sprouted bread. You cannot go wrong with anything here!

Really great experience at this new spot! Real, nutritious ingredients in each dish. There isn't another place like this in the area. Had a really difficult time choosing what we wanted to try for our first time because everything on the menu & the daily specials menu looked unreal. Will absolutely be back, probably next week! The owners are new the the area and are super friendly, welcome!

The food was very good!! We stopped for breakfast and completely want to support local... we had the chefs special; blueberry French toast. While it was delicious and the staff was friendly- breakfast for two shouldn't cost $50+ for two people before the tip. That's a tough one to recommend to others without the hefty price caveat.

The sandwich and avocado toast we ordered was fresh and delicious. They have a couple tables outside and a handful of tables inside, but it's a small place. It's counter service but the prices on their menu don't reflect that. They will probably need to reevaluate the menu with some more affordable options considering their neighboring breakfast spots have better value and tasty food. I would give 5 stars but 4 because of the value.

The food was good, and fresh. There were some healthy options which is nice. However, I found it excessively expensive - even for farm to table. There weren't any kids options, so we paid the $11.50 for my children's breakfast sandwiches. I know they've just opened, so I may give them another chance in the future. For the prices, I'd love to see more plentiful dishes or budget items on the menu.
