The atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. The large portioned Prime Rib was one of the toughest cuts I think I have ever had in my life! I ordered it medium and it was medium, but it was tough, tough, tough! I would have to blame it on the quality of the meat itself. It looked good on the plate but was not what I had expected.
We drove up from Asheville just to try the Prime Rib.
My wife had the Pastrani like sandwich and it was fine.

I had my bachelorette trip to Maggie Valley this weekend where we visited J Arthur’s on Saturday night. Hailey was our server and fit right in with our group of shenanigans! She provided great service and laughs with us! Food was phenomenal and we will be back in the future!

Totally impressed with this restaurant. Food was very different and tasty. The huge Christmas tree was a nice touch. The whole place looked like a great spot however there was not many people there🤔

The Restraunt itself is super cozy ,beautifully decorated for Christmas ! But the food was just Decent depending on what u ordered ..we order the ribs and baked potato ..the ribs were great
And we got grilled chicken it was just plain no taste ,and my husband and friend got the salmon it was a very small slice and had no flavor ! But it wasn’t the best for the price u pay ..wouldn’t consider eating there again for the value of food and quantity

I’ve gone with my family twice now, both after a long day of skiing, we went early january and the atmosphere is absolutely incredible. The tree alone deserves 5 stars. The food itself was out of this world and the service was amazing. Jerry was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive. Absolutely love this place.

Had the pecan chicken crusted and wife had salmon, both were excellent. Service was fast and the restaurant is casual enough to stop in after skiing.

Service was adequate for a busy evening. Bourbon chicken was very tasty along with the Bang Bang shrimp that were really good! Now the not so good was my ribeye steak, was not charred at all and was grey in color and not very hot!!! Had very little taste! The ambience of the restaurant was wonderful but not the steak!

There was a lengthy wait for the dining area, so we sat at the bar area and were seated immediately. We had a great dining experience being served by Dee. She was friendly and attentive throughout our dinner. We ordered several different items, including a French onion soup to start. It was delicious and filling. For dinner entrees, we ordered the North Carolina rainbow trout, the fish and chips, the bourbon pecan encrusted chicken and a Gorgonzola cheese salad. We honestly had no complaints about any of the food. The rainbow trout was particularly delicious with the added sweet tomato jam. The salad dressing was excellent. And the fish and chips was crisp and fresh. Next time, we will have to try one of their steaks! Overall, we had an excellent dinner experience and will be back again.

So my wife and I came here expecting nothing special. Really liked the fact there was no wait even though we did not have a reservation. I ordered the meat loaf it comes with a tomato jam. It was absolutely amazing. Wife had the chef salad with a loaded baked potato. She absolutely raved over both. The beer and wine selection is very large. Our waitress (Jennifer) is very good at her job. She was very polite and always showed up just in time. Managed her tables like the pro that she is. She knows the menu and the food.

Way overpriced for terrible quality and portions
Food is way overpriced for what you get. Foods I bland. This place also upcharges for the smallest things. 5.35 extra for a laoded potato. The only thing of quality of was the scenery.
A one hour wait which is ok, you would think, that would make you think, ok good restaurant. Just to be the loudest under staff restaurant in town. Ordered drinks, they barley made it before the meal. Ordered our food, I had a steak....had to wait for a steak knife...a steak knife! Wife ate her food so it wouldn't get cold, I had to send the steak... back to be warmed up. Had some kind of light ice sickles flashing in there! The atmosphere did not fit the check. If I'm paying a 160+ check I would at least hope for a knife, and at like to be able to hear my conversation not the one three tables down. I had high hopes, won't be back!.... only steak house around pretty sure they don't care what their reviews are!
