Room 305 has bedbugs. I went to the front desk to show them the picture and they said “I don’t want to see that”, then just moved me to another room. Thanks I guess.

We have stayed at numerous choice hotels all over the U.S. and Canada, many times for 2 or more nights. Our stay here was 4 nights, and our room was never serviced the entire stay. The second night, we asked the young lady at the front desk to have the staff empty the trash and leave fresh towels the next morning. This did not happen. My wife asked the lady at the front desk why the room was not serviced. She told my wife, "Because you told me not to service the room." My wife told her she never talked to her and never came down to the front desk. The lady at the desk insisted my wife requested no service. We stayed there with a large group of friends who told us that they also received no room service until they requested it, and some still didn't get their room serviced. My wife ended up bringing the trash to the front desk herself. My wife was given fresh towels only to find out apon returning to the room that one of them was so old and thread barren that you could see through it. If not for the poor room service, this could be a very nice hotel.

It took over 2 hours and a call to the owner to get our room. While we were waiting, another family had their reservation lost. The lobby was filled with people with reservations hours after check-in time who couldn't get a room. The pool area is not handicap accessible. The vending machines were empty. There was only one employee to run the breakfast and the front desk in the morning.

Just Me

Anybody stayed at Clarion hotel during Dec 25 to Dec 29 week and used Priceline or Expedia or any other third party and got charged again by Clarion Hotels themselves because I quote from Sheila, the hotel manager (supposedly) that "Priceline did not provide them with a code for the stay to charge" and they charged your credit card again??? This is ridiculous that Priceline charged me for two nights already and we find out that Clarion charged again for the same two nights. Another family we went with got charged again too. I want to know how many times that this happened to others too? It's been a week and Sheila is conveniently sick and Amber from front desk is RUDE and throws up her hand saying she cannot help (which is fine, but she is very combative on the phone. She can take a course in customer service). I was in no way raising my voice to her (exasperation is not raising my voice by the way if you're reading this AMBER).

As far as the room is concerned, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular so it was fine. The elevator reeked of pets smell, but that is expected for a hotel that accepts pets. I won't be staying here again though (even without the double charged headache) as dogs were barking across the hall. I would hope that hotels that accept pets would be isolating people with pets on the first floor or at the very least ALL ON ONE FLOOR so it wouldn't disturb others without pets, but I guess that's too much to ask.

Got a flat tire late at night 2 hours from my destination and happened to end up in front of this hotel. I just needed a bed and a place to sleep and this was exactly that and then some. One of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in and the room was very clean.

The location was nice bc it was close to a lot of shoppes and restaurants. Only one of the 1st desk ladys was nice. The other didn’t seem to care, she was just there. Our trip was planned a few day before, during and after Christmas, so maybe that affected the experience as a whole. The 1st room was dirty. There was crumbs all over the floor, big pieces of trash on the floor and behind furniture. And the tub had hair. The lady at front desk was aware and had a new key issued by the time I got down to the front desk. The second room was not dirty in the same way the 1st room was but a magic eraser to the walls and doors would have definitely helped with this review. There were dirt spots on the walls in the bathroom and the door had those black stains up and down the door from people touching the door, just regular usage. The new room heater didn’t work at all until the last day when the owner came up and tested it. The refrigerator in the second room was so loud it woke us up during the night multiple times. I did ask how often a deep clean was done and the answer was every 3 days….? The beds were clean and firm. If you like firm pillows bring your own because the pillows used are the half full non support pillows. The breakfast was super nice. They had spicy sausage patties, instant oatmeal/grits and little single serve jiff peanut butter for toast , as well as jelly’s and butter. They had Cheerios and lucky charms for the cereal choices. I will not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. This review isn’t to persuade in any direction just personal experience.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. It is pet friendly for a fee, which is nice so that we could bring our dog. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food and service were great. The servings were quite large. The hotel did seem a bit understaffed. There was soiled bedding in the hallway outside another room when we arrived and it sat there for hours. Maybe they were waiting for the cleaning staff to come in the next morning? I'm not sure. It's definitely not an upscale hotel and could use some updating. However, it was a good choice for what we needed. The price was good. We were traveling with 3 kids and a dog, they had free breakfast, a microwave and fridge in the rooms, and Disney channel, so it worked.

We were scheduled for a group rate to stay here for mini nats and basically got told they were going to give it to us after they had already agreed on a price when caused one of our members to have to drive there over this so pretty much they back out on us after agreeing they were cool with it and the price point to I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if it was the only one in North Carolina!
