I mean, I wish I could give a full review since it has changed ownership, but we didn't make it past the hostess stand due to 5 words that aren't advertised anywhere that I could see:"Do you have a reservation?"Not even a "there will be a wait if you don't have one" or any other presented options and as the bar was full, it was a disappointing wasted trip.As a local, I hate giving less than a 5-star review to a local restaurant, but if you are going to be a restaurant that requires reservations, at least have it posted on your social media pages or your Google listing.Doubtful I will give it another try.

Every aspect of our experience here was wonderful. The hostess was very friendly on the phone and was able to get us a last minute reservation on a Saturday night. We went early to enjoy a few cocktails at the bar and we were seated moments before receiving our first drink! The cocktails were amazing and the service was even better. Our waitress (I unfortunately can’t remember her name even though she gave it) was terrific! We will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my experience here. It is a bit pricey, but everything was delicious. I loved the location by the water.

Wonderful intimate dinner with my wife. Superb service, very attentive and eager to make.ypur experience the best. Ordered drinks, apps and we had the Ribeye dinner. One of the best steaks I've ever had.

This was one of the best meals we’ve ever had in the OBX, from server to cuisine. Thank you Shirley for a great experience and to the chef for the wonderful meal! The shrimp and grits app was very good (spicier than normal), the chicken and gnocchi were amazing, the burrata and beet salad was delicious, scallop and squid ink risotto was one of a kind, brussel sprouts were executed perfectly, and their lemon pie with saltine cracker crust was unique and delicious.

Everything was excellent! They seated us at the bar (which we enjoy) in minutes, and were playful and engaging. The decor looks dated in the professional pictures, but is welcoming and lovely once there. Chris made a quite fine 1587 Old Fashion, humoring me in my picky preferences. The mahi and the scallops were especially delicious and skillfully prepared! They don't necessarily understand the irony of a Roanoke Island restaurant celebrating the Lost Colony serving a chicken dish from Gainesville GA (site of Brenau University, which promoted the forged Dare Stones), but it didn't detract a bit from a particularly fine dining experience.

Fantastic food and service! Our server was Lauren and she was polite, professional and really made it a great experience. I got a chicken dish that came with beans and pickled carrots. It was way better than I could have imagined. Perfect portion sizes as well. Come here for healthy housemate food and a great location

This is a beautiful well maintained old inn with a view of the harbor , in the middle of the quaint town. The room is spacious and bright and clean. The staff could be any friendlier and are very helpful. While they offer a lite breakfast there is much to choose from. Manteo is just a short drive from the beaches and there is much to do here. I highly recommend.

Our rooms were really nice and very clean. They served a continental breakfast which was a good way to start the day. We were not able to eat at the restaurant but the menu looked fabulous. They staff was so pleasant and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a very good location.

Noisy!! They had a gal doing a solo guitar thing and one could not even hear her three tables away. Food was awful. Started with a wedge of lettuce and it turned out to be half a head, smothered in halved grape tomatoes to hide the runny blue cheese to hide the brown spotted lettuce. Dinner of Tile Fish was barely warm to the touch as were the mixed veggies and baby potatoes. As experienced diners it was quite possibly the worst dinner we ever had. Gave a $10 spot to the waitress but no other tip. Wasn't her fault.

Not an over the top fancy experience like I expected, but then again the prices weren’t over the top either. Good food. Nothing unique. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Nice spot but nothing special.

Food: had the New York strip. Very good steak. Cooked to my liking. Well seasoned. Good portion. Vegetable not overcooked. For some reason they brought a Heinz 57 -like steak sauce. Service: not quite polished. They started to bring the entree prior to taking the salad plateAmbiance: noisy but you could hear yourself and your company's conversationI would definitely go back.

This place is more like a lounge and a little bit older is geared more to the older crowd. Very small menu and was recommended the scallops which I ordered and then they didn't have any. So was disappointed. Tried the fried green tomato's and it wasn't the greatest. Had a strange tangy taste. So mostly won't return although I did hear the scallops were wonderful. Just not worth it for us to try again. And it's expensive.
