Best butter pecan ice cream I have ever had!!!!!!

Way over priced and not good at all

I don’t usually leave reviews, I’ve visited the shop twice while staying on vacation. The ice cream is very tasty, but the portions are the smallest I’ve ever seen and also the most expensive—2 scoops for $10, and it wasn’t even the size of a pup cup.

So expensive Banana Splits at $18 a smoothie at $15

Most outrageous prices I’ve ever seen in a store. In my life. Wouldn’t recommend.

Wow the prices here have skyrocketed! $15 for a milkshake is insane and higher priced than all the other homemade ice cream places on the OBX. The quality seems to have gotten worse also with the ice cream melting faster than usual and the taste being off. We frequented this place, but that will be no more with spending $40 on 3 ice-creams. Those prices make it real easy to never go back. They aren't paying tariffs on ice cream supplies and I remember having a conversation with one of the managers a while back that they planned on raising their prices. 1.99 per topping is wild. I'll head to Scoops to get better service, quality standards, and all at a reasonable price! Good luck to them and their business.

Horrible. Door was locked because she was “getting drinks out my car” extremely overpriced for small amount of açaí, took forever, bland, watery, crystalized old honey, just overall disgusting.

Asked a question about a flavor and got a rude answer - whatever. The prices are super high - also whatever, I chose to spend $40 on ice cream, and while up-charging for toppings and waffles cones seems gratuitous when a sundae costs $12, it’s not the biggest deal. But the ice cream tasted freezer burnt and that is a big deal for an ice cream place that credits itself for being high quality and homemade. Ended up throwing my cone away after spending almost $10 on it. The person waiting on us also used their bare hands to put toppings on one of our sundaes? Crazy. Only went here because the custard place was closed. Y’all want what they have. Don’t thank me for my feedback, from the myriad other reviews I know y’all are not being constructive about it. Wet wipes by the door were nice, though, thanks.

Great ice cream, and I could tell it is homemade from the quality. While some of these reviews point out the ice cream isn’t inexpensive, you’re on the coast so I guess you can go to a chain if that bothers you. The cookie dough in particular had huge chunks and is probably the best I’ve had in a long time!

Off season so only a few flavors and a bit pricey for a regular size scoop.

Plan to spend big bucks at Big Buck's Homemade Ice Cream. I'm not sure if it is the location or because they claim to make their own ice cream. It was good ice cream, better than another nearby local place. Service was average.

A small ice cream and sweets shop. Very friendly staff. Many choices of hand scooped ice cream & cones. Covered front walkway to enjoy your treat. Great shops nearby too. Parking easy.

I now understand why this place is called “Big Bucks”. My 3 daughters and I got ice cream and our bill was $47!!! 😳 My one daughter got a hot fudge milkshake with Oreos but it was awful — instead of Oreos, they loaded it with chocolate chips. I will say the ice cream I got was really good, but holy moly was it pricey!!!

This place is mid at Best but goddamn do they have high prices. Like I mean I've never paid this much for ice cream in my life. I've bought expensive gelato and fancy ice cream before and this is neither. My recommendation, get your ice cream somewhere else and save yourself 20 bucks. They've gotta be out of their mind charging what they charge.

Delicious homemade ice cream. They were so patient with our large group and let us taste different flavors before ordering.
