I had the burger, it was okay, ate about half of it. I did not like that the meat was way bigger than the tiny bun. Not their fault because that what they offer but I would not get it again.My wife got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. She took a few bites before tossing it. Same thing. Not her style. She thought it was overwhelmingly “meaty”, tasted like smoke bacon.So TLDR- this place gets you a ton of meat, it’s vinegar based, etc. I prefer a sweeter taste. So if you like this, this is the place for you. Many people seem to love it. Sad it wasn’t for me.Did not experience rude staff, they were attentive and got me my order quickly. Place looked nice, in a good area.

I absolutely love this place. Everytime we come anywhere within 20 miles of this place we go to it. Best sandwich and fries I've ever had. I always get the heart attack wrap and it's great!

Went for lunch in the spring just before Easter. Cool town/spot - wasn’t overly busy but there was a line. Ordered the special buffalo chicken wrap w/out tomatoes. Lady was super nice at the front. Unfortunately there was a couple issues - tomatoes did come with the sandwich (not that big of a deal, was able to take them out myself) sandwich was advertised as “very spicy” but there was very little spice at all. Forgot the onion rings for another person in our group, and coleslaw for another. Overall, cool place - but ran into some annoying issues, maybe just an off day, will certainly be open to trying again next time I’m down here.
I have eaten here my whole life the last few times the food has went drastically downhill me and my wife spent 42 dollars here for two sandwiches and sides my 12 year old can make better food the potato salad was terrible as was the cucumber salad and we got a stale chocolate chip cookie she had the Cuban ruban which was inedible for the price and what you get I would highly recommend you go elsewhere which o hate to say I have lived in manteo for 40 years and had many great sandwiches here but I guess we are at the end of an Era they used to have a great group of people miss Debbie her sister it was amazing not not so much try country deli even a Publix sandwiche and side which will be drastically better

The food has been good every time we have been but there is always a long line and never enough seating. Service was friendly and helpful and very busy.Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten free bread. They seem aware of allergies.
