The guy that runs this place is very friendly. Atmosphere makes the experience. Hole in the wall out of the way. Very unique. Will probably go back. Nothing fancy. Good burger and good blt.
Amazing surprise of fabulous food. I ordered the cheese bacon burger and it was the best I’ve had ever. Door dash delivered and the prices for food were very reasonable.
it was reasonable price for the food & hot & fresh also. great atmostphere & the owner john was really friendly too
Bacon Burger and BLT was good but not worth going out of your way. No parking, French fries were overcooked plus didn't get them till after we finished Burger. Extremely small one man show. Health score posted was 85 but I'm wondering how it was that high. Worse part we left smelling like grease and we have 4 more hours traveling time.
Great food, good service and fair prices. A neat little diner right on the side of the road.
Having eaten in many BBQ restaurants, I would give this 3 stars. I had the ribeye (medium rare) but it came out well done. Service was good
Delicious food, sweet staff, and good prices. We had daily special, chicken and dumplings and a brisket sandwich. Both were very tasty, brisket so tender! Hush puppies were delicious. Great southern food and hospitality! You should definitely go!
Wonderful local restaurant. Friendly service, easily accommodated our party of 10. Great food from BBQ, dinner salads, hushpuppies, etc. Very good prices. Will come again when in the area.
Had the chopped pork.Excellent. Onion rings were Great. Easy to get in and out of. staff friendly. Service quick and good.
We went on a Friday night (8/26). We called ahead to see if they still had BBQ, to which the host said - in a seemingly confused tone - that yes, they still had everything. Cool we thought - this was rated pretty highly in town, so we were ready for some no frills good BBQ, as we were all pretty hungry. The place was pretty busy, which inspired confidence. We were a party of three and we got; Appetizer: Fries with cheese and bacon Main: - the kiddo got a cheeseburger (not a kids' meal - regular adult sized), - my spouse got the BBQ and Brisket, with baked beans, fresh fruit, and hushpuppies - I got the BBQ and Brisket as well, with a baked potato, mac and cheese, and hushpuppies I cannot describe not let down we were. We are not "foodies" (or whatever snob label is "in" these days) by any means, but we love honest-to-goodness good food. Let's start with the appetizer; the fries were crinkle fries with some melted cheese on top, nothing special. Wasn't expecting anything grand, and we didn't get anything grand either, so this was ... fine. It was a decent portion, so between three of us, we were good. The mains; this was, by far, the worst BBQ we've ever had. And we've had some bad BBQ. If this was an olympics of bad BBQ, this place would make Phelps and Lochte look like middle school amateurs. The brisket was DRY! Not just relatively dry to others ... I mean dry! And had no seasoning whatsoever. Salt and pepper aren't expensive, folks. Here's a tip - if you are serving brisket with BBQ sauce, you're doing it wrong. The "BBQ" - which was pulled pork - was also dry. So much so in fact, that I had do douse it in BBQ sauce, the bottle of which is is on the table (instead of ketchup), and I used about a third of the bottle to re-hydrate it. And it tasted old. Think of the taste pulled pork has if you left it in the fridge for 3-4 days - it's not spoiled, but has that not-to-good smell and taste. And again, no seasoning whatsoever. I had a couple of forkfuls, and I could not eat anymore of it. Sides: Baked potato - the potato itself was fine. I was asked whether I wanted butter and sour cream, which I said yes. I was given one single serving of sour cream, which I used, and two single serving "butter-flavored" vegetable oils, which I did not use. Come on folks, butter is not expensive to resort to butter flavored vegetable oils! Mac and cheese - good lord, talk about killing the macaroni. The pasta was so overcooked, and it was like eating cheese flavored pudding. Baked beans: honestly, Bush's baked beans taste fresher and WAY better, and my spouse did not eat more than a couple of small spoons. Fresh fruit - it had cantaloupe, honey dew, slices of oranges, and one strawberry. The strawberry looked like it had been refreezed multiple times, so we ended up not doing anything with it. The hushpuppies were a little too sweet for my liking, but I don't care for them honestly, so this was no loss. The kiddo ate the cheeseburger, and didn't complain. Honestly, a quater pounder with cheese has more "oomph" to it just by looking at it, but cannot comment beyond that. However, given how awful the "BBQ" was, it isn't far fetched that that didn't win any awards either. The service was great though, so kudos there. I can understand service sucking - hey, we are human, and can have a bad night - but the food to be this bad? There is no excuse for this. I honestly do not know how people say the food is good here. Maybe they had something else other than that BBQ? If you want BBQ, this place ain't it chief. We did not get food poisoning, so we are counting our blessings.

Philly steak was awesome! I thought prices should be higher, especially with the quality of the food.
A lot of places around here were closed on Monday and Tuesdays. That is how we ended up at this restaurant. The food was ok. The waitresses were very friendly. All working together for each table.
We were driving by on the way to Walmart so we thought we would stop in. The 5 of us liked our various meals. Everyone was happy. It is really a small town mom & pop type restaurant. We would 100% go again.
They have the best subs, burgers ever! Fresh and mmmm Good!!! I would recommend this place any day to try…
We ate here 2 times in the 5 days we stayed at the campground near by. The brisket was excellent!! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. If you are ever in this area, I highly recommend eating here. So good!
