“We recently visited Smoke a Lil Smoke BBQ in Marion, NC, and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is inviting, with great art and decor that adds to the charm of the place. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table, which is a nice touch. We tried the Chicken, Hog, and Pig Plate, which includes pulled chicken, pulled pork, and smoked beef sausage. For sides, we chose the sidewinder fries and mac and cheese. The pulled pork and chicken were tender, moist, and had an excellent smoky flavor. They offer four different sauces made from scratch. The mustard sauce was delicious and paired perfectly with the sausage, but my favorite was the sweet sauce. The mac and cheese was rich and flavorful, while my husband loved the sidewinder fries, which were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. One of the owners came out to speak with us, and he was incredibly friendly. He even gave us a sample of the brisket, which was delicious. We decided to stop here based on Google reviews while traveling home from vacation, and we’re glad we did. Smoke a Lil Smoke BBQ offers delicious BBQ and great hospitality. We will definitely be back for more!”

“Went to the Crabtree falls and stopped here on the way back. Very nice atmosphere and great service. They have a nice little souvenir store that communicates with the dining area . Food is good, a bit pricey but is what you can expect from touristy places .
We tried the pimento cheese, the adult grilled cheese (they forgot the bacon) and the hotdog.
Desert was amazing.”

“One of the best burgers you will eat! We regularly travel from Bakersville just to come there to eat. They give you a large portion of french fries as well. The only pet peve is they are VERY stingy with the ketchup, i got 1 pack with my meal and i asked for some extra,,,, they gave 2 extra packets, thats about 6 packets short for the amount of fries you get, i understand that some people are wasteful but I guess I'm going to have to bring my own bottle with me. Overall a great place to eat and will continue making the trip when I'm craving a great burger.”

“We stopped at Eddie's close to closing and they cheerfully welcomed us in. The service was fantastic and the food was even better! The family that owns and operates Eddie's introduced themselves and were very down-to-earth and pleasant to talk to. The warm bread was amazing, each pasta dish we tried was excellent, and our salads were crisp and fresh. This place just went to the top of my list for favorite Italian places. I can't wait to try more of the menu!”

“Seated and served quickly. I was in at about 8:00. A.m.. Pearl was exceptional server, running the dining room and the cash register. These small family-owned restaurants are the ones that I crave and look for. I can now add sell this place to my list of fun places to eat.”

“First time visit on Saturday. Deciding factor was to see my ole boss Bob Frisbee and here the music. I am not much on Coffee, but my friend John Owen is. However, I could get addicted to the frozen coffee drink I had x 2. And John enjoyed the chocolate flavored coffee. We will be back for the coffee and more of the entertainment. Nice surroundings. “We just passed this little place on the way back from a day spent on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We pulled in and saw it was cash only, so we went down the road a little to get cash at the Dollar General. We both got milkshakes, I was very impressed to see all the no sugar added options. Being a diabetic, I normally don’t have a lot of choices at places. The milkshakes were pretty good and the prices were reasonable. Definitely would stop here again when I’m in the area!”

“Whenever I’m working in Marion,, I always make a point to go to Country Diner for lunch. I always get the daily specials which are always delicious generous portions. The staff is fantastic and the service is fast. I highly recommend!”

“I love all Waffle Houses across the USA. They are all the same. Good food and great hard working people. The workers work awful swifts and do not make much money. I have seen people not tip good at the Waffle Houses. I don’t no why?? So when you do go. One of my favorite is the omelette and the hash browns with toast and grape jelly. No matter what state it is always delicious! And please remember to tip good!!!!! Only thing on a side note. Wear a sweater it is so hot back near the stove that the employees have the ac on all the time. So in the back it is hot and in the front it is sometimes cool. Depending on the amount of people there. They are all like this and I’m always cold. So if u are cold natured like me bring a sweater or something. Besides that I love the Waffle House. No fried food. My favorite omelette is not listed below. It is delicious!!!!

Parking: Lots of easy, well lighted parking. You can stop by yourself to get pickup or eat here whatever the time and not feel nervous going to your car.

“The pizza is very good! I bought a slice and forgotten how good the pizza is from there. I do recommend stopping off the interstate to grab a pizza or a slice. The godfathers is located inside the Loves Truck Stop Store. 4/4/24 Pizza is still Fantastic!!

Parking: Huge parking lot up front for everyday vehicles. The back is parking for the Transfer Trucks to gas up, shop, eat and sleep.”
