Todd's Golden Fried Chicken Reviews
Haven't tried this place in many years. The white fish was so over cooked I could snap the fish in half. The flesh inside was barely recognizable. Hushpuppies were over cooked to where I didn't eat them. Hopefully just a bad cook that day. Thats how it is at another fish restaurant in that area. Hit and miss.
Why is this the only golden fried? If any restaurant should be a franchise or at least have about 10 locations throughout north Carolina... It's golden fried. My favorite treat!
Golden fried has extremely great food. Recommend this place to everyone and anyone.

Todd's Golden Fried Chicken has been a favorite for years, known for its best chicken in the world. The food is often described as awesome, with fresh fryer oil taste and a variety of popular items. The chicken liver plate is a highlight, and the salt & pepper catfish is praised as among the best catfish, light, clean tasting, and never slimy. Other staples include chicken strips, potato wedges, corn nuggets, and the house ranch dressing, which is so good that people would fight for the last drop. Mac and cheese is hit or miss, while the seafood is delicious.
Service is quick and friendly, with ample portions. The seating is plenty but a little hard. The restaurant is clean, though some reviewers note that the floors are filthy and that the inside feels more like a fast‑food joint than a restaurant. Prices have risen just a little but remain reasonable. A senior discount is available for older customers but must be requested. Drinks are self‑served, which some find weird. Food can be spot on or overcooked, and sometimes seasoning is lacking or items are out of stock, but overall the food never disappoints for those seeking homestyle, country cooking.
