“What a delicious burger! I only order a burger once or twice a year, and man, this one was delicious. The sour beer I had was good also, and I appreciate that they sold the little glasses. Great Saturday night dinner and drink when have a nearby reunion with a friend.”

“When in Rome….i love eating at the local places when visiting surrounding towns. Was in the mood for sauerkraut and mustard on a hot dog and they did not disappoint. Bun was toasted on both sides and fit the hot dog perfectly. Also had fried green beans as an appetizer. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and firm on the inside. This is a rare find for appetizers.The bar seemed to have a good selection of brews and specials were reasonably priced. Definitely going to visit again when in Morganton.”

“Let me tell you we had the BEST experience here! The service and the cocktails blew us away. Between the four of us we couldn’t say whose drink was better, they were all perfectly crafted. I think the house blueberry margarita was my favorite.We adored our server—so sorry I can’t remember her name—but she took great care of us. The food was fantastic too—I loved my spicy clam and bacon pizza. Don’t sleep on Root and Vine, y’all!”

“From the moment you enter, you know this place is going to be special. They squeezed me in without a reservation which I greatly appreciated! The atmosphere is electric. Its light blues, greens and browns all come together beautifully with the copper table tops. It’s absolutely beautiful.The service was absolutely top notch. Liz, never missed a beat. And trust me, I beat that drum! Flawless appetizer bread with the best butter I’ve ever tasted. From there, I never wanted for anything and the salmon I ordered came out expeditiously. And cooked to perfection! Tender, flakey, juicy. The mashed potatoes and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly roasted and caramelized. The bourbon glaze on the salmon wasn’t for me (I ordered it on the side) and Liz jumped into action again bringing me a different sauce with a lemon twist. It was perfection!!I couldn’t recommend Treat more! It was far more than a treat, it was an experience and an amazing one!”

“This store has an excellent selection of healthy foods, drinks, and other necessities. Everything I've tried from the deli has been delicious and the quality is consistently good. I drive out of my way to go here at least once a week because food quality is very important to me and this is by far the best option in the area.”

“Amazing winery - live music and gorgeous views. Gorgeous does not even define it - beyond gorgeous. Excellent service and local food. Owners are fun and down to earth. Definitely a destination must-stop in North Carolina. Support local business - especially one that is this exceptional.”

“We stopped here for the night. The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff were very courteous and professional. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was good. It's got plenty of parking, a nice pool area and gym too. Directly across the street is Fonta Flora Brewing, great place to have a pint and relax after a long drive. We will stay here again.”

“Pull uuuuuuup. Tony and Tammy are making it happen at their Soul Food Island food truck. I'm out of town visiting Lake Lure and on our way back to Greensboro I wanted to check out Hillaman Taproom. We also needed dinner. On Hillman's website they listed a food truck close by. It was right across the street. 5 people were in line despite a chilly night. A Good sign. The menu was promising as well as the people running the show. A friendly welcoming atmosphere was the start of the Soul! The wait was 8 minutes with, like I said, a crowd in front of us. Friendly chatter ensued. The pork chop was coming out of the frier and I mentioned how amazing it looked. Tony threw in a 'too small to sell' freebee pork chop. 2 words... IT SLAAAAPED! Left no crumbs. Got some honey bbq wings. Mac and cheese. Green beans. Fried okra. All very delish! I only hope I take a trip back up to Soul Food Island. Thank you Tony and Tammy.”

“We went a couple of hours before closing. They were out of many items but the waitress was pleasant and funny when she had to come and tell us after we had ordered as she wasn't aware they were out since the kitchen staff never posted it on the board.The food we did get was good except the Mac and cheese was cold and the rib tips were tough The pulled pork was amazingly delicious. The ribs are enormous so be prepared to need a to go box if you are not a big eater. The corn bread was yummy.The bathroom was not very clean but usable which is a concern, at least for me, of how clean the kitchen is.This was not our first time here, bit it was the first time since the buffet has been opened every day of the week. We have been at least 2 other times before the buffet. This time was not as enjoyable as the other times but everyone is human and has a not good day. We will be back to give it another chance to prove this day is not the new normal.”
