Definitely the best Americanized Japanese food in Morganton. We've been here several times and have always received excellent service and excellent meals. We usually get the teriyaki entrées, I would say my boyfriend and I are both addicted to the salmon lol. I've gotten the sushi a few times and the quality and presentation never disappoint.
We came out tonight for a full three course meal. Appetizer, soup, and entree. We got the edamame and miso soup to start. very disappointed. The edamame was clearly not freash, most likely frozen. The beans inside wear mushy and unflavored. The skin of the outside; which normally stays intact when pulling the beans out of their shell; was falling apart and squishy. It can be hard to find sushi places that have unique rolls - and this one definitely does. It's wonderful to see combinations that show the chefs know their flavors and textures well.The interior is a bit run down but don't let it fool you. This is well worth it!
