Great time, host & owner HOYT was very nice & came over to say hi. Great place the entertainment on Saturday was awesome. The blue cheese hamburger was the best I've e ver had. Will definitely come back.
The Tortilla soup was absolutely delicious, thick and perfectly seasoned
The quiche was also very good
But the smoked trout was very disappointing.
My husband has gotten it for many years, and he didn't like it this time at all.
He said it was too soft, and suspects it was not smoked enough or cooked enough.
Thinks person who does the smoking needs to practice a lot more
He says he won't get it again until he knows it is smoked right
A friend who was with us got the trout too and said she didn't like it either
Same reason
Please check into this
And I would love to know if an improvement is made
I did 4 stars instead of 5 because of the trout
The soup and quiche were delicious
And our server was an absolute sweetheart 👍💯👍💯
This is an awesome cafe. The food is great and the staff is so pleasant. I would highly recommend the Turkey Panini with Wavy Fries!
Great food, a limited menu, but everything on it was great.
Will definitely go back again.
Went back and service was GREAT, not busy for a Wednesday 👍
Nice place to have a stop. People are friendly and the view is good.
Food was fresh and delicious. We had the soups, grilled cheese, pork chop, salmon, and wings. Everything was yummy and just what we wanted after a gem mining excursion in Emerald Village.
We come here every time we visit Spruce Pine/Little Switzerland, and most of the time we come for multiple meals, it's that good. The smoked chicken tacos, the french dip sandwich, and the BBQ are all amazing. My partner loves the smoked trout BLT. And do NOT miss out on the desserts - the berry lemon cake and the coconut cake are great. The staff is super friendly. We always look forward to making our stop at the café, general store, bookstore, and the craft stand all right there together.
Road my bike up the hill and stopped for lunch
Great food, great service!
Thank you
First time here for dinner and I’ll be back. Enjoyed dinner on the porch on a beautiful mountain evening. Great pork chop - perfectly cooked. And a pasta, too. Great service and food.
The wing platter was very good, and the chicken salad was generous. Nice upper deck outdoor dining.

I've had the pleasure of dining at Switzerland Cafe three times since its recent reopening, and each visit has been a delight. The food is consistently excellent, with the filet mignon cooked to absolute perfection and the salmon being another standout dish. Beyond the delicious food, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is truly exceptional. I Highly recommend.

Old books and coffee. My favorite
Great locally owned and operated cafe. Everything i've had off the menu is delicious. Nice seating inside and outside.
Super nice staff. Right next door to a great little market if you need some beverages/snacks/merch.
They are supposed to be opening a bar upstairs any day now.
I never remember to take pictures when i'm eating here... i'll try harder next time.
Amazingly different experience today compared to when previously visited new owner is making positive improvements and waitstaff is smiling and friendly can’t wait to see future progress
