When we dropped my son off at Mars Hill for college I was worried that he wasn't going to have a place to hang out and get a beer without having to get a fake ID, but when we walked up to the bar they didn't even card us! Glad to know there's still places that aren't afraid to bend "the rules" and do business their own way!

How very interesting ? An old theatre converted into a pub/ brewery, eatery and on Friday evening a life band.I had a lager in a plastic glass. Really good taste. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the place.

One of the coolest breweries we’ve been! Keeping the vibe of the theater and having the stage/movie screen was awesome. The beers were delicious. Lots of games and items to keep the kids entertained. Plus the bartender was super cool. He learned my twins were taking drum lessons and brought them some drum sticks to keep! We can’t wait to come back for more brews and check it out when they have live bands.
What a great unique venue. Crow ( the beer tender) is a wealth of information. Friendly staff with great beers at a reasonable price. It's literally an old small theatre that has been opened up while still retaining a bunch of the original seats and the balcony seating. They also have a kitchen with good food. Help support your local micro brewery!! They still show movies on the big screen. Kid and family friendly!!

We decided to try this place after we had dinner down the street. It has a very cool vibe and I liked that there are theater seats. They had a musician playing that night and had plenty of seating options both on the main floor and upstairs. I am not a huge beer fan but I tried a cranberry and herb one that was delightful. Overall its a great stop if you are in Mars Hill.

Little disappointed to see Hickory Nut Brewing vacated, but the new brews are pretty good. It's also a cool venue, being an old single screen theater.
