Got their regular semi-sweet mead, it was my first time trying mead and this did NOT dissapoint. It is incredible!!! It has a mild honey and light fruit aroma on the nose. Initial notes of fruit and honey and slightly effervescent, mellowing to a very balanced sweetness, with notes of oak. Very pleasant aftertaste of oak and a hint of spice.

If you enjoy touring wineries, particularly smaller operations, Fox Hill Meadery is absolutely worth visiting. Fox Hill Meadery is a small, one family operation. The meads offered are interesting and unique in flavor. The meads are less sweet than others we have tried and the honey flavor is much more subtle taking a back seat to the other components. Meads with pronounced ginger, cinnamon, apple and peach flavors were among our favorites. You should call ahead for a tour/tasting. The area is a bit off the beaten path and GPS directions may be questionable but Google Maps worked well and took us to the right place without problems.
