Stood at the register for 5–6 minutes and was completely ignored. A tall, skinny guy with long blond hair was helping another customer with a burnt pizza that was literally black around the edges, and not once did he acknowledge I was standing there. No “be right with you,” no eye contact, nothing. I even gave a small wave just to make sure he saw me. He looked right through me like I didn’t exist. Eventually I walked over to the kitchen pickup area where a woman making pizzas finally asked if I needed help. I explained we were first-time customers and didn’t know how ordering worked. She told me to go back to the register — the same place I had already been standing while being ignored. The only pizza I saw come out while I was there was burnt on the bottom and around the edges. If that’s the level of attention and quality they’re comfortable serving, I’m comfortable saying this: skip the place. Skip the pizza. And skip the staff that apparently can’t see customers standing right in front of them.

I really liked the vibe of this small town brewery. The layout is cool with the back deck looking out at the water. It’s wild to think what happened here just 1.5 years ago and glad to see.
The pizza was good and the garlic cheesy bread was really good. Pretzel left something to be desired - they really should blast it with more heat to soften it up. It didn’t tear, it crumbled.
Beers were good - I especially liked the red. Menu had a decent amount of options too. I definitely will come back when I’m up that way again

Happy to see this small business bounce back after Helene. The beers are top notch and so is the pizza (including the cauliflower crust option)! Visited one recent December evening so I’ll need to get back to enjoy the view of the river from the deck. Marshall is a charming small mountain town!

Mad Co specializes in beer and pizza. Both are fresh and excellent. Te kitchen is open so you can watch them prepare the food. The bartendress was very helpful and knowledgeable about their products, the history of Mad Co, and their efforts to recover from hurricane Hellene. It was quiet for an early Saturday evening because Marshall, NC is still recovering from Hellene. If you are in the area, stop by for a beer or two, some pizza, and help everyone there continue to recover from the devastation. Everyone we met were pleasant and appreciative for us to be there. The pizza here is phenomenal! I got the fig caramelized onion pizza and it was hands down the best non traditional pizza I’ve ever had! The live music and outdoor patio was so fun for an evening out with my partner and our dogs!
