Worst gelato I ever tried. It was very sweet, artificial tasting, weird textured. My son developed a rash around his mouth after eating Stracciatella. No idea what it was made of🥴. I saw that all was vegan, but for example vegan coconut ice cream with natural ingredients can taste amazing in other places, not here.

Wow! Some of the best frozen treats and baked goods I've had anywhere, let alone Charlotte! Such interesting flavors and taste combinations. A tour with the owner, Manolo, showed how much passion and care goes into making almost unbelievable dairy and gluten-free products. I had to know how these things could be dairy and gluten-free and taste so good?!? We found Manolo and his team use the highest quality ingredients and express the same passion when making excellent coffee and tea drinks. We were incredibly impressed and will be back when we're in this area.

Never would have I thought that vegan ice cream could taste this amazing! I’m not even dairy intolerant, and I much prefer Artisen over any regular dairy ice cream shop. I only wish they’d open at more locations across Carolinas. Highly recommended!
I will dream about the banana caramel gelato for a long time. Even more, I'll remember the feeling of walking into the place, seeing all those delicious-looking flavors, and knowing they're all vegan. Some of the best ice cream I've ever had.

Very disappointed with lack of communication as my son had an allergic reaction while eating the gelato there. My son has a dairy allergy. We went yesterday for the first time. He was excited to be able to choose from so many flavors. I asked if everything was dairy free due to his allergy. I was assured it was all dairy free and safe for him to have. He chose the vanilla with chocolate chunks in it,( their version of cookies and cream). After about 5 bites he started to say his throat hurt and was itchy and started coughing. I made him stop eating and right away went to the car to get Benadryl. By the time I got back which was seconds, he had hives on his face and was coughing a lot more and saying his throat feels funny. I gave him Benadryl and his symptoms started to get better. I went to the counter and asked are they sure everything was dairy feee as he was clearly having a reaction. Again the lady assured me it was all dairy free and no milk. I left bc at that point I was more worried about my son than the ingredients at that moment. I then got home and emailed them to see if I could get a list of the ingredients and still have not heard anything 24t hours later. The gelato obviously had some dairy in it and this place should not be advertising safe for allergies. Parents of kids with dairy allergy beware that something in the gelato has dairy.

The gelato here is phenomenal! I tried the chocolate orange and the Stracciatella and they were both really good. I ended up with the latter in an Affogato. We'll definitely be back!
