SHE IS STILL OPEN!!!! Iris Austin is truly heaven sent. She makes all of her desserts from (SCRATCH)! Including icings! They are always moist and delicious! Austin's is a nice clean place to eat and for the most part the food is good. However, I go there because they advertise "carved roast beef". When we were there several weeks ago the roast beef never made it to the carving table while we were there. We left at 6:45 pm. Tonight the roast beef was on the carving table, but was totally over cooked -- not a hint of pink anywhere on the roast. This made the meat very dry, tough and tasteless. If you are going to advertise carved roast beef you need to step up the game.

As far as inspection places go, this one is pretty good. They try to get you in and out fast but their speed depends on how many people are there ahead of you. I would stay away from Friday and Saturday since they are busiest then.
