Love the owners and the food. Highly recommended
This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Charlotte area - period. We come often, and drive all the way from south Charlotte to come here because it’s worth it. The food is always good, and consistent. I love their spring rolls (#1) the most of any Vietnamese restaurant in the area. It’s just a notch up. The pho is great - I really like #24, which is a good combination. The bun combos are all good, and they use good fish sauce. There’s also a good stir fry on the menu with curry and lemon grass . Also, fresh orange juice here!

I love this place! Just had a delicious lunch with family and friends and we all had wonderful food. Hadn’t been in a while and I’m kicking myself for it! My coconut curry was divine. And I got to taste hot pot and pork fried rice. Excellent! Best Vietnamese food in town! And we were able to sit and talk, enjoy our food, tea or coffee without having to shout across the table. Just lovely.

Had BBH and Com Tam here. First of foremost, as a Vietnamese, the Bun Bo Hue is fantastic, authentic. There’s another one on the table, let me finish it before i complete the review…

I didn’t have a good experience here. The older woman who helped us looked like she didn’t want to serve us from the moment we walked in. She was impatient while we tried to order, didn’t smile or say much, and only showed some friendliness when we were leaving after paying. What bothered me most is that she didn’t treat the other customers the same way she was noticeably kinder and more welcoming to them. It felt like she was being rude or even racist toward us.
The boba tasted off, the food was just okay, and the place felt old and uncomfortably quiet. The whole vibe was unwelcoming, and it seems like the business is struggling. I wouldn’t come back.

Service was good. Very mom and pop with a slightly more upscale feel. 5/5
We got the fresh summer roll and the Pho Dac Biet. The summer rolls were soft with a delicious crunch of lettuce. The sauce was not as thick as some other places, but still quite delicious; sweet, salty, nutty. 5/5
The pho tasted good, not great. I felt like the more that I ate it, the more it tasted like the broth was a bit watered down. I was looking for a punch of flavor, but it fell short of my expectation. It was also a bit more on the sweeter side in my opinion. This was supposed to be the combination bowl, but I didn’t get any tendons or tripe, which was a tad disappointing. The broth had a nice color though. 3.5/5
Ambience was kinda awkward. The TV’s were on, but the volume was very low. It was quieter than I was expected. Decor was a bit more traditional but it looked fine. 4/5
I don’t know if I would make the trip out here again. I was really looking forward to trying a new pho place and was left disappointed with the pho.

My family and I often come around here to dine and we often enjoyed our time here. But today I came and while about half way to finishing my food I found what appears to be a plastic on a bowl. I’m assuming it was a mistake but it was unbearable to not address it since we came here to eat clean foods.

Love love love authentic delicious vegetarian and gluten free friendly veggie pho and yellow pancake is so yummy. Spring rolls are always fresh and amazing also. My hubs is a big meat eater and also loves everything he gets here as well. I saw one comment about the lack of depth of the pho broth - that is sort of the point. That’s why they bring all the add ins and have all those sauces. Pho is intended to be flavored to your taste and preference by you the eater not the chef!
Dietary restrictions: Easy to do gluten free. Lots of vegetarian options that are clearly marked. Dairy free would be easy too.
Parking: I don’t go when they are busy and always find parking. However I’m sure it’s much harder when they are busy.
Kid-friendliness: I don’t see a lot of kids there but mine go and enjoy being there. No there isn’t a kids menu or chicken nuggets, pizza, or fries tho if that’s what you are looking for. But it’s definitely not kid-unfriendly;)

Very pleasantly surprised. We had a group that consisted of family from out of town as well as friends visiting from Germany. Several folks asked for suggestions and everyone loved their food! It's a small kitchen, so please be patient. You may be told that meals will come out at different times if you're with a group. Enjoy your visit with your friends/family, give the staff grace, and you will be rewarded with an exceptional meal.

My husband, children, and I arrived to dine 30 minutes before closing, and we were met with one of the most disgraceful experiences I’ve ever had. An older woman with a short bob glared at us with disgust and rudely said, ‘We are closed! Takeout only,’ before turning and walking away as if we didn’t matter. I was furious and told her right then, ‘That’s fine, because you will never get my business!’ I have never been treated so disrespectfully. What makes it even worse is that I came to support a local business in my own community, but after this humiliating encounter, I will never step foot in there again. I truly believe we were dismissed because we are Black, and it’s absolutely unacceptable. No one should ever be treated this way.
