I just happened to stumble across this place when I was driving through the parking lot on my way back to my hotel. I figured I’d check it out, so I walked inside and asked to look at the menu. I was looking for Kung-Pao Chicken and didn’t see that as a menu item, so I went with a lunch special chicken item that was spicy.

I was slightly disappointed with the weight of the bag when she handed it back to me. So I figured I was probably served a kids portion. Once back at the hotel, I opened the container and saw that the portions were small, but I figured I didn’t need to continue to be eating large portions in one sitting anyway.

All of the above to say that the food I had was absolutely delicious. I wish I had taken a picture of the food before I ate it. It really was good.

I had to find some Chinese food spots in my time in Charlotte, NC. Came in to Chen-fu and was taking back to old days of Chinese spots in NYC. I ordered the chicken and broccoli, orange chicken, fried wonton, egg rolls, and white rice. The staff was very friendly, helpful (Summer) (Soyna), and the cook (Tony) they had mentioned to me the food was similar to Ny style and I have to say that they are correct maybe even better then NYC 😀 just love how it was not too greasy and was still fresh after a night in the fridge. Thank you. I will definitely come again to here.

My father found this hidden gem over 20 years ago! We haven’t been in this place in years and decided to pay a visit to our favorite childhood restaurant. Once we took our first bite, we could not believe after so many years this place had the same great taste and flavors! Chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein are my absolute favorite. Rice is fluffy and loose. Chicken is flavorful and always made fresh. The chicken wings are a 10 out of 10 crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. Put some of their tasty duck sauce on top and you can easily go through a dozen. The broccoli and beef are also a must! This place is absolute best in Chinese food in Charlotte! Family owned restaurant providing outstanding service and fresh food! There’s a reason why they have been here for over 20 years! This place is perfect for a night out with the family or pick up on a Friday night!!

I haven’t ordered Chinese food since moving to Charlotte but decided to try Chen Fu last night. This is hands down the best place. The flavors and freshness of the ingredients left me speechless. Their prices are great, portion sizes very generous. The customer service was amazing! Go support them. They’ve been in business over 32 in the same spot. Go order your food now!

Wow!!!! Best Chinese that I've had in Charlotte in the 10 years I've lived here. Cozy old school dining area and the sweetest service! The lady serving and working the counter was an angel! She said the restaurant has been open for 32 years and she's worked there for 25! I can see why.

Eggrolls, house fried rice, general chun's chicken. All absolutely amazing! And the best egg drop soup I've had in my life!

Visiting Charlotte for work and wanted some decent Chinese food. I was pleasantly surprised and got some very good food. The brown sauce they use for the egg foo yung was very good. I enjoyed my meal so much I went back the next day for lunch.

Wings are super small, not seasoned with that flavor that you expect from a Chinese wing, plain fried rice is horrible, prices are. But expensive for the quality you’re getting. Was disappointed in my meal honestly. Poor quality

Picked this place based on the latest reviews and they were accurate! Food was delicious, portions were good, excellent customer service and really good prices. We got 1 app, 4 dishes and 4 drinks and it was under $50! You can't even go to the grocery store for less than that! Their hot & spicy dishes are not spicy, they're between mild and medium, so you can always add more heat to your liking. While we were there we noticed a lot of their patrons are regulars (the lady at the counter was asking about their families and you can tell they have known each other for some time) so that tells you something!! ☺️ We will definitely be coming back!!!

I’ve been eating here since I was four years old. I am now in my mid thirties. Their family has treated our family incredibly over the years. I no longer live in Charlotte but when I do come in to town this is a must have. I have worked in Chinese restaurants and food service and eaten food from all over the country and the hospitality and quality that comes out of Chen fu is unmatched. I’ve eaten most of their menu at this point and have never had a bad meal. A delivery service spilled my soup one time but after the literal hundreds of take out orders my family and I have had from here can promise that was not at all their fault. If you are having any apprehension about trying this place I can promise you won’t regret it.

I drive 30 mins for my 16 year old son 3 x a month. We always order the pork fried rice with $2 or xtra pork. Hands down the BEST FRIED RICE IN CHARLOTTE! Something to be said about this couple having a successful restaurant for 25 years! They’re doing it right. Very thankful for their continued amazing food!

Online order not received by store. When I went to pick it up they were very helpful and able to make my orders in about 5 mins.
Ordered chicken and broccoli -
Sauce was darker than expected and chicken was in chunks. It didn’t taste bad but not what normal chicken and broccoli is ??‍♀️
