My daughter invited my grandbaby and I out to have breakfast with her. The server William is the name. I believe if not, his name started with a W, and he was an older guy with glasses. He wasn't very talkative, real nonchalant. It has been a few times. I tried to ask him for something, and he would just take off. My grandson was giving me such a hard time that I forgot to order myself something to drink. He didn't bother to ask either. My daughter had to leave before me, so he came to the table and noticed that my daughter had left a 3$ tip. He does not know that I work as a server as well, so 🤷 don't count me out. Anyways even though he didn't really deserve it, I tipped him 20$ for barely any service.

This place was literally so an organized and quite disrespectful. I put it online order for curbside pick up and called after making my order. The app said that I would receive my food at 12:44 and when I called they said it takes less than 10 minutes, so I sat in front of the store for about 20 minutes And the time on the app had passed no one bought me my food. I called the store and no one picked up so I went inside and the hostess was sitting down eating. Then she started fumbling with receipts to finally go get my food and this was 30 minutes past the time that I ordered , finally I got the dry food with no apologies or excuses about them not bringing it to my car and I had a good medical reasons as to why I needed that.

You don't get any increase in the amount of food but the prices keep on going up they have mainly breakfast yes I do have a reduced rate from Monday through Friday during certain times starting in the morning but then when they dropped the price where the prices should be then they dropped the amount of food you get so it's really no deal. And do they have a reduced price in the evening starting at 3:00 till in the evening yes I do overall you actually get more food then for what you pay for but then they have pre-selected things already for that man you just like the breakfast one but they have lunch special Monday through Friday. And even though there may be empty tables instead of seating everybodyeven though they may not have servers to wait on them right away they should at least see people if there's empty booth and tables and at least give them their drinks people don't mind sitting and waiting for a little while in cases like that but sometimes they sit and make you wait for like half an hour or better so could there be improvements most definitely you make suggestions to the supervisor manager and for some reason they know it all but you can go to other places that are real successful and full all of the time and you can see why people are always there they don't doubt you on prices for what you order you get a decent amount and they have a good variation on their menu breakfast lunch and supper and the service is excellent and there as soon as the table opens up the seat someone and they're quick about bringing your food wonderful atmosphere plenty of parking around there wonderful people running the place and that is the knife and fork in Monroe North Carolina this one that I just talked about here this IHOP is in Matthews 9211 East Independence Boulevard.. and yes we have had breakfast there lunch there and dinner a mainly everything is breakfast and lunch there are vegetable selection is a lot to be desired not good in that area there's a fair amount of parking not extreme would I recommend the knife and fork in Monroe North Carolina over that place in a heartbeat and that is at the East end of town.

Server smelled of weed took our order 20 minutes later no drinks or food. Left and will never eat here again. Had to walk around mop bucket to get to our booth.

Website said place is open 24 hrs. Got to the restaurant and staff refused to seat us and didn't even address it with us. He just said it loudly enough to another staff member so that we could hear.

Got up and walked out after 20 minutes and still hadn't gotten our drinks. Had to step over a mop bucket when we were seated. Should have left when we were seated since the host and our server reeked of weed. The restaurant was basically empty.

Fair Knowledge

May need more staffing to increase an effective and fluent experience. When it's present, your under staff makes me wonder what's going on in the kitchen
I don't want to burn up my day waiting to be waiting to order drinks, then waiting to order food, then waiting for food.

I'm not quite sure what is going on with this location but if you are going here for breakfast, there will be no one to serve you or even get your take out order ready. People will walk right past you in the front door and lock it behind them acting like they don't see you. The listing here says they open at 6am. You could've been there at 7 or 8 and no one would care. The listing also has a phone number there. I placed an online order and had to do a charge back as no one would answer across three separate days to detail what was going on. Again, this place is really weird like that. I just wanted my money back. It's not difficult to pick up a phone. Ended up with no food but still a bad taste in my mouth. The funny part is, when this location used to be "open" for business, they actually had good food. Just really strange all around. Not even mad, just annoyed.
