This an interesting place to come with friends. Nice Halloween Decor. I had the bacon cheese balls and some fries. The Bacon Cheese balls were very good. The fries were not so great - some good and some not. The server was very attentive. We had a good time but it is not my first choice of restaurants in Matthews I am sad to say due to one other person in our group who had issues with her food not being good.

Good option for a quick lunch. Wasn’t very crowded so easy to spend some time catching up without feeling rushed. Will definitely go back for the chicken sandwich and truffle fries.

Our family has Sunday brunch a few times per month and dinner at least once per week. The food is mid at best and always has been. However, we enjoy the atmosphere in the bar area and are willing to have just OK food with good service. We've had issues in the past with cold food, slow service etc etc in the past but we have always been able to look past it with good service and friendships that we have developed over time with staff. Today, Monday 09/02, we stopped in for early lunch and they had 1950's music playing on the dinning side and 1980's pop playing on the bar side. It was incredibly annoying to hear two different music's playing directly into our brains. I politely asked the bartender if he could turn off one or the other and his response was "i'll check with the manager." When he came back from speaking with the manager "Sarah or Sara" he replied that " She said no and it's part of the culture. One side is Jekyll and the other side is Hyde." We are regulars and that has literally NEVER happened in past experiences. We moved outside to get away from the nonsense and one speaker was playing one kind of music, perfect. The manager came outside and double downed on the music issue and repeated "it's always been this way." Sorry to say good bye to our Sunday morning brunch spot and goodbye to our favorite bartender Lauren and our normal bar friends we see every Sunday morning.

Maria and Lauren were amazing! Food was incredible..as usual. Maris somehow got our drinks and food out VERY fast considering how busy they were! Very impressive! Lauren makes some FANTASTIC DRINKS! I recommend the Gunslinger cocktail! If you ever stop by Jekyll in Matthews, ask for Maria as your server and you will be very happy with your experience! Will DEFINITELY RETURN SOON!!!

Marie and Lauren are rock stars, the food is next level every time I have eaten here and the service is too. I've been here many times over the years and am blown away every time. Will continue to come back. 11/10 can't go wrong here.
