We used to come here a lot when we were dating. So sad they no longer have the pond and geese. But we still loved the food and friendliness.

I recently dined at Jonathan's Restaurant for a late lunch. I wasn't in the mood for the daily specials, so I decided on the Baked Lasagna. I ordered a garden salad and broccoli as my sides. About the postives, the salad was fresh and included a nice ripe tomato slice and cucumber. Also, the Greek salad dressing was especially good! I think the broccoli was perhaps grilled, not sure, and it was delicious! It was also cooked to my preference for doneness.
For the negative, the Baked Lasagna was awful. The pasta portion was meager and overly limp. There was NO filling or meat sauce. The pasta sat in a pool of what tasted more like tomato soup. There was a generous amount of mozzarella cheese, which I guess was to make up for what was sorely lacking, but it was just a gooey mess. I can't really believe they sent that dish out.

Having said that, I would go back again...the tasty side dishes give me hope. Perhaps it was on off day. Regardless, I won't be ordering the Baked Lasagna again.

Family owned business and still operated as such. Huge menu with daily specials. The atmosphere is aged but yet fits this restaurant. Service can be great or blah depending on your server.

Quaint family diner with a woderful friendly staff. Easy to enter & exit, located out of main traffic area. I'll continue to patronize this establishment when I go to Mint Hill/Matthew,

Down home cooking great variety, Southern Greek foods. Older restaurant with great food and great service. GREAT Service! We have visited several times and they always go over and above our expectations. We quickly noticed that although we may have an assigned table and waitress, the waitresses support one another. A family atmosphere like a friend invited you to "dad & mom's" house for a bite to eat, and mom and the family give it their all.
