Do not come here if you don’t directly look of Hispanic descent I am Dominican but don’t look of the sort I’ve come in twice to this establishment the first time it was about 20 minutes before closing and they didn’t even want to acknowledge me but here come in somebody clearly Hispanic and they great then with warm greetings….. okay whatever they tell me they are about to close and can only look at what they have pastries. That’s fine that’s what I wanted to come in anyway I get somthing anyway and think it could just be a one off day plus closing time I come in there again today and AGAIN.after I come in saying HELLO I get a blank stare. Okay cool I’ll look too see what you have here comes in a lady and it’s AGAIN WARM HELLOS HOW ARE YOU … okay never coming here again try gogo empanada if you are in the area

We stopped by on our way home to New Jersey and WOW what a way to start a road trip! The café con leche is perfection and the chorizo is unbelievable. I should have bought more, I’ll be thinking about it for the rest of our ten hour drive. They are friendly and helpful and patient. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Matthews!

We are supposed to place orders online so we don't have to wait, but with my last three orders I had to wait for them to find the order. A word of advice: don't order the day before because it's harder for them to find your order.

We bought Colombian empanadas last week! they were great! Since we were buying 24, they offered to make them fresh for us (it only took 10 minutes). The size of the empanadas was big, the flavor super. The price was on point and they even gave us a generous amount of salsa. We will become regulars!

I went to the place and oh man this is like going back to the mother land. Love the bread, love the empanadas, and that pan de bono waffle it’s a 1k out of 10. The employees are very friendly all the time and they really take care of you. Such a lovely place. I’ve been telling all my friends to go visit.
