Smokehouse dip is the elevated French dip you've been searching for, it's least the one I've been missing from my life. Can't speak for every location but this one is awesome

As a 15 year + patron of Macs todays visit was the worst and will likely not return to this location. We were there just after lunch on a Saturday and both my wife and I felt as though other than the Hushpuppies we were served left overs. The pulled pork was terrible, the sweet potato fries were cold and chewy. We we asked to have a fesh order the server sId I need these to prove to the kitchen…..what, never have heard of such bs. When the “new” order came out we were not convinced they were not the same fries the setver took to the kitchen VERY disappointing

First things first, ALAURA, our server was an absolute pleasure. She was a ray of sunshine who introduced herself, established rapport, & made sure we got what we wanted to be happy. I love her! She literally made my heart smile. I wanted to give her boss props for hiring her. I gave Steve a high five & he’s not a hugger ( I wanted to hug him I was so happy, but boundaries are important & it’s even more important to respect them). Steve came around later & gave me a hug, the food was absolutely delicious & everything about my experience makes me want to move to Matthews, NC. The fact that one of my favorite humans, Jessica, also lives there made everything about today magical. Anyway, go get some delicious bbq from people who genuinely care! 🥰

Our server, Alaura, was AMAZING and really made this visit outstanding! I probably come here once a month or so and their nachos never disappoint. The atmosphere is very relaxed with a solid playlist, daily drink specials, and decent amount of tvs all around. Great spot to grab a bite or hang for a couple drinks before exploring/ walking around Matthews.
