Had a great meal tonight! The fish and chips were absolutely fantastic—perfectly crispy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside, and some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The service made the experience even better. Our server, Autumn, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. Great food and great service—definitely a place I’d come back to!

We’ve been here several times in the last 8 months at off hours like 2 to 4 pm. I always get the Eggs Benedict which is always fantastic. The Grits are so good, the Mimosas are a generous pour. My husband and son try a variety of items and they have all been great. The Chicken Fingers are a favorite. Sara was our server on the last visit and she was very accommodating and friendly.
This is our go to place when we are in the Matthews area. Never disappoints.

I Stopped by Metro Diner while passing through town on vacation and had a great experience! The chicken and waffles were excellent—crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering.

My waitress, Autumn, was also fantastic! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect during my visit. Great food and great service made it a really enjoyable stop. If you’re there, I highly recommend the chicken and waffles—and if you get Autumn as your server, you’ll be well taken care of.
