MingFu Chinese & Sushi - Matthews

Placed a delivery order through GrubHub. A major part of the order wasn’t delivered probably because it was in a separate bag and the driver didn’t bring it to the house. Someone from MingFu delivered a replacement to us. Impressive. They didn’t have to do that. But it was nice because it was all one person at my house had to eat.

Food was great and lunch size portions are huge! Great service as well. Had lunch here with 6 or 7 other ladies here today. Would definitely recommend!

Update from 10/18/2024. I had Sushi and it was very good. Also the plum wine. My friend had lettuce wraps and pancakes to go. Great place with reasonable prices and good service.

I had the Basil chicken. Service was excellent and parking easy. Priced reasonably with a free egg roll with the entrees. Sorry no photos.nWill go again!

I was disappointed in my lettuce wraps, the texture of the chicken seem fatty. My daughter ordered a salad and the lettuce came with a core in it. The food she has was overall good but the salad. I have ate there a couple of times and the first time disappointed. The waiter was managing the whole open area and needed support.

Ming Fu brings me into Ming Dynasty a few hundred years ago. With ancient flavor environment with lanterns, it seems very different from other Chinese restaurants.

Try their egg rolls, they are crispy and tasty even without the sauce.

The Four Happiness is what I ordered tonight with jumbo shrimp, Chicken, pork, beef and veggies. Flavorful but not too salty.

Love the environment and dishes.

Give it a try and you won't regret it!

We had high hopes but left disappointed. All the food was a bit weird for Chinese food. The boneless ribs had like a BBQ sauce on them, the hot and sour soup was good, but too thick, chicken wings were nothing to write home about, my Mongolian Beef had the weirdest flavor, unlike any that I have ever had, and my wife’s chicken and garlic sauce was bland. My wife asked for sugar for her tea and they looked at her like she had two heads. They didn’t have sugar! What was the final nail in the coffin was the Mochi balls. They tasted old and stale with a bad consistency. We will not be going back.

Great food 10/10, unlike a lot of other Chinese I've been to. Big portions no need for appetizers if you're getting the chicken plus rice.

First time at this restaurant. Suggested by friends. Waiter not too friendly. Didn't seem to know much about the food items or drinks. We didn't feel the atmosphere was welcoming. Egg roll was fresh, crispy. Wings were slightly overcooked.
Wouldn't recommend. The duck dish was good though.

I walked in with my family tonight and asked for a table for 3. The hostess was extremely rude. Threw our menus down on the table and when I said thank you, she responded with “yep” and walked away with a disgusted look. We walked out immediately!
