Roaches in the food!
Me and my wife were enjoying lunch at Mr.Tokyo, which is one of our frequent spots. But when my wife saw the roach in her shrimp udon she immediately got sick. Unacceptable! The manager said they had a hard time getting rid of the roaches, they spray frequently but they keep coming back. No quality control at all. how does this get missed?? Will not be returning!!
I always come here to the Prosperity/Benfield Location but tonight it wasn’t decent. I’ll still come back but disappointed cause they wouldn’t answer their phone. I’m allergic to mushrooms. My Rice wasn’t cooked thoroughly
Worst experience ever at the Matthews location! We have been coming to ALL of the locations for YEARS and have spent hundreds of dollars! We will NEVER be back! Erin and her team are horrible! The food was subpar! The restaurant was filthy! The chairs were literally cutting into my skin because they are so worn! The sushi had an old taste!

Mr. Tokyo Japanese Restaurant offers an extensive menu with a variety of dishes. Customers can enjoy tasty crab Rangoon, dumplings, spring rolls, and custom sushi rolls. The staff is accommodating and friendly, ensuring quick service. The restaurant has a modern-Japanese style interior with dark upholstered booths, providing a not-too-loud setting. The atmosphere is similar to a "sushi buffet" without the buffet, and the rolls are fresh, although the owners may stretch the fish to keep prices low. The restaurant is a good choice for a quick and affordable lunch, especially for those new to sushi. It also caters to large groups and offers vegetarian options.
The restaurant delivers big on value without compromising quality. The rolls, makis, onigiris, tempuras, and sides are consistently fresh and well-prepared. The price-to-quality ratio is more than satisfactory, making it a solid spot for casual sushi lovers who want variety, flavor, and a full belly without breaking the bank. The menu is simple but nice, and the all-you-can-eat lunch option at $14.99 offers excellent value.
