Great food and wonderful atmosphere. Just what Matthews needs a nice friendly good food new comfortable eating place. Had lunch there Friday and went back today for breakfast. Everything was great. Just wish they were opened for supper also. Worth trying for sure!!!!
Full disclosure Dorians was my favorite place. Nora’s just can’t compete, the food and the environment was disappointing. The renovation looks fine but the feeling that was there before, like cheers where everybody knows your name is lost. It’s sad to see a place with so many regulars changed so much.
Ordered the Grilled Chicken Sand. Not at all what I was expecting. Very dry skinny chicken tenders in a bun, over loaded with lettuce and tomato. Grilled chicken sand. recommendation: (Use a Grilled, seasoned and tender butterflied chicken breast) just a suggestion for for improvement. When you have your tongue ready for a great lunch, and you lift the bun and see two dried out tenders......heartbreaking! 3 stars for cleanliness and timing
Nora's Kitchen is a cozy restaurant with a friendly staff and a homey atmosphere. They offer a variety of dishes, including a substantial breakfast menu available all day. Popular dishes include liver mush, biscuits, gyro, bacon egg & cheese biscuits, veggie omelette, grits, banana pancakes, French toast, chicken salad sandwich, and homemade chips. The coffee and made-in-house chips have received positive reviews. However, some customers found the music to be a bit loud. Nora's Kitchen has handicapped parking and is wheelchair accessible.
