I have lived in Stallings for many years have never been to Phat Daddy's Cafe until this day. It will definitely not be my last time. This amazing restaurant was right under my nose and I had no idea how awesome it is. Don't let the plain store front fool you.
The inside of this Cafe is so charming with that hometown feel. The serving staff were absolutely the nicest folks. And the food was spot on. I recommend the cheese grits. Yummy.
So, I highly recommend this sweet little hometown restaurant. You will not be disappointed. I am ready for another visit.

We walked in around 10:45 on a Saturday. It wasn't very busy, we were told to grab a table. Or drink order was taken right away and the food order was placed shortly after. 45 minutes later our breakfast (for just 3 people) came out. The server was sweet, but never offered an update on the food. The hostess sat up front and read a book. Also, it's their restaurant and they can do what they want, but the 8 foot Glamour Shot memorial to someone's deceased mother was off putting, as was the makeshift memorial for the deceased father. The food was very good once it came out, but I will not be returning. It was not for me.

We are from Orlando visiting and ordered the fried flounder. Ms. Erin was so accommodating and so friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. You should definitely make this a stop on your trip!

The food was not as good as the picture made it seem. The prices were not right. And the banana pudding was made with banana pudding instead of vanilla pudding.

This place has Consistently good food and fabulous service- thank you Erin!! If you are on a low sodium diet make sure you ask bc sometimes green beans can be salty. Blackened chicken with peppers & onions over rice is always my favorite:-) Fried okra is seriously very good as well. Please try this awesome cafe in Stallings, N. C.

Not welcoming and rude. Everything was very expensive and it took almost an hour to get our food. Anything we needed we had to flag someone down for because the service was poor. When we did eventually get the food it looked like a microwaveable meal and it tasted like it too. I would never recommend this place.

Cheese Hamburger served on a soft bun, not toasted or grilled. Coleslaw over sweetened, too much sugar for me. Banana pudding made with cool whip and boxed pudding. First time, don't think we will return.
