This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal! I’ve lived in Matthew’s ever since I was born and I never would’ve expected such a lovely, atmospheric restaurant to be this close to home as me and my family usually drive at least 30 minutes out for a good dining experience. I visited Sizzle for the very first time today after eating at an extremely lackluster sushi place in Charleston earlier this week and I was so delighted by the friendliness of the servers and kitchen staff at Sizzle. The Braised Tofu and Vegetables is a solid choice for vegetarians, it was so well marinated that I can honestly just eat the peppers and carrots (which, by the way, retained their crunch and flavor while still being completely cooked ?). My boyfriend and I shared a plate of their sesame balls fresh from the fryer, and no other sesame balls, in my opinion, can even hold a candle to what we were presented with! Our server was also absolutely amazing, she was very helpful and kept our water full! Sizzle should be called the Mitochondria, because it is the powerhouse of Matthew’s. I will be back soon with my father and brother to try another dish. Thank you Sizzle for this experience, I will be day dreaming about you :)

The single best Chinese food I have had in the Carolinas. Incredible spot with fantastic service, our server was extremely nice and helpful drinks were always full! I got the curry beef and it was absolutely amazing, I could’ve eaten just the carrots and the rice was fluffy and delicious. My girlfriend got the braised tofu with vegetables and I’m usually a pretty devout meat eater but I would give up steak for that tofu. We shared the red bean paste sesame balls as dessert and that is my new favorite food. PLEASE give this place a try amazing food with a great staff who you can tell love what they do!

Hardworking chef + hostess (owner?). Had to wait a bit for my food, but hard to fault when it is evident how hard everyone is working. Worth the wait! Another authentic chinese option in the area, huzzah!

Was craving some good dumplings and classic Asian food and this hit the spot!! I got the sesame chicken and my husband tried the kung pao chicken and both were delicious. All of the dumplings were so yummy and our food came out so quick! Our server was really sweet to us. The seating is limited to about 8 tables so probably not the best for large parties. Definitely will be coming back to try their extensive menu.

Packed but food was inexpensive and delicious! Idk if its authentic but the place was busy the entire time. Small space but we fit fine. We had the rainbow dumplings. They are tiny but have a lot of flavor. We also had the orange chicken, huge plate we shared and it came with rice. We had the black pepper beef it was good also came wirh rice and them little balls are the best! Filled with a lil goodness and octopus.
As each dish is done it sits on the counter against far wall getting cold.Placed entire $80+ order online 90 minutes in advance.Arrived early and they told me it would be a few minutes so sat waiting for 13 minutes until they finally told me they didn’t have the noodles for my order. In the meantime my other dishes were getting cold.They apparently knew the entire time well before I placed my order.Not sure why they could’ve just told me that when I arrived instead of making me sit and wait.
Delightful service and excellent food! First timer and I am impressed. Found out today that bao is fire. Ramen was delicious. Yummy!!!! Highly recommend. Going back.

When we got there, my husband and I just stood there for about 5 minutes, and nobody acknowledged us. And there were another group of 3 came after us, the hostess acknowledged them first and was trying to seat them first. We got out there immediately. (The guy from another group told the hostess we were there first, but she completely ignored that. Very unprofessional).

Ok Sizzle! Great experience, small space so was lucky that we could sit without wait. It took a while for waitor to come and get started with our order since it was busy. The food was great, the drink flavourful. Will be back.
