5 Stars, I have only ever given 5 stars twice, so this is the third. I grade on a curve based on expectations. Stacks is like a classic diner tucked into an unassuming strip mall.
Food. You are not walking away hungry. I went with a classic diner breakfast special; two eggs, bacon, hash browns, and coffee. Except I do tea. Plate came filled. Had to have been at least 4 eggs, toast came Texas cut with ample butter on the side, the hash browns were crisp (not soggy or overly greasy) and the bacon was perfectly cooked with more meat than fat. Price was half what I normally pay for a bagel with egg at the deli I normally frequent.
Service. I arrived before 7am on a Thursday. Already quite a few patrons with some having finished and getting ready to start the work day. Surprisingly large number of tables in the joint and most were filled before I left. So this is not a secret. Staff was manned to handle the volume. They were friendly and appeared to enjoy working there. Good hometown vibe.
Environment. Classic American Diner. Everything was as neat as a pin and very clean. Folks who work there obviously take pride in the work.
Summary 5 stars. Only my third 5 star review. Food quality and quantity exceeded my expectations for the price. Friendly service in an immaculate American Diner style. If you’re looking for a local joint for breakfast/brunch/lunch, this is a great choice. But given the crowd here, it’s not much of a secret.
For those who do not know me from my other reviews: I am not prone to hyperbole or drama. Eateries are judged by food, service and environment; in that order and in context with expectations. I like picking new places. If it is a place I go to regularly, I lead with that. And when did Google add the Food/Service/Atmosphere sub ratings? I feel a copyright lawsuit coming on 😎.

This was our first visit to Stacks and it was great! It was busy but we were seated within our 15 min estimated wait time. They sat us at a big booth so we had space for our baby in her car seat. The service was friendly and efficient for how busy it was. They brought pots of coffee for our table which was great so we could refill ourselves! The food was hot and yummy. Loved the real butter for the biscuit and fresh squeezed OJ. Wonderful classic diner experience - we will be back. Reading some of the negative reviews leads me to believe those aren’t from diner people.

We love Stacks for breakfast! The food is great, good prices and good portions. We will definitely be back. It can get busy and there’s not much of a waiting area which was difficult with kids, but that won’t keep us from going back. Service was also great and fast.
