Great place to eat! Clean restaurant super nice staff something that is rare these days. A genuine dinner feeling type of place with reasonable prices. Ordered the chicken parmigiana hoge and onion rings. Onion rings were cooked nice and crispy not burnt. Sandwich was delicious. Highly recommend this place

This review is for the Stallings NC location, which has had to relocate several times due to city construction projects. The name is misleading. Besides great hot and cold sandwiches they have multiple sides to choose from, gyros, rotisserie chicken plates, fish plates, and other choices. I have been going to Steak and Hoagie for years and have always been satisfied.

The staff was very professionally pleasant, the food was well prepared and the restaurant was well kept. My mother and I went to the Matthew location.
Cheese steak is great. Staff is very friendly and courteous.

My wife and I were in Matthews, I was really hungry, and my wife wanted a good sandwich, so we stopped by.
I was initially excited because they had cheesesteaks and hoagies on the menu and I eat them irresponsibly when I am in Philly/Jersey.
I got the "SouthSide" and my wife got the Turkey and ham sandwich. I got pasta salad and fries as sides. My wife liked her sandwich, she loved the vinegar and oil. I was not the biggest fan of the SouthSide until I dipped it in the Steaksauce. I was disappointed in the amount of meat, I felt like they skimped on the meat, I guess you can order double meat. But for $15 I expected more.
The fries were the best thing I ordered, they were hot and crisp, good flavor. I really enjoy a good pasta salad and eas disappointed with this one. I had to download the app to get the banana pudding for a dollar I was disappointed. It wasn't thick, the flavor was a little off to me.
My wife ate her whole sandwich I finished the fries, but I threw away the banana pudding and the pasta salad, and about half of my sandwich. My stomach felt a little weird after eating it, could have been all the different types of food.
The young lady behind the counter was super friendly, very honest and helpful, I appreciated her patience and kindness. She did an excellent job.
All in all, I wish I got the fish sandwich, it looked and smelled so good! I was disappointed in my experience, maybe because I already had a certain taste in mind for the foods I ordered and when they were not it I was frustrated.
I would try it again.

Terrible 3rd time ordering from this place and this is the 3rd time they have forgotten my sandwich and will never be coming back again it’s not that hard

I've been taking my kids to this place for many years. As of recent the quality has fallen . The Philly is a basic simple cheesesteak. Pretty easy to make, three ingredients. Yet the past two times we have ordered, the chef just throws two pieces of meat ( it should be shredded ) and maybe, I mean maybe three smalls pieces of onion total. No seasoning, nothing. Bland and boring. No thought or care in the prep of their sandwiches over the past year. Wont be back.

The only complaint was the Sunkist orange had mold in the lines. Just need to clean those folks.

The all American sub was not what I ordered it came home with oil &vimegar and 2 bottoms of the rolls. Month before when I ordered the all American sub it came with roast beef & turkey they said they do not sell roast beef at all well then that must have been some out dated ham but I know what roast beef is So 2 times in. A row will not eat there again so sorry about this but must have changed ownership only reason for bad food
