I’m just convinced Matthews food scene sucks because if fried rice from a Thai restaurant isn’t good and comes in the smallest serving I’ve ever seen (for $15) they can keep it. Second worst fried rice I’ve ever had in my life just a hair above bland. Veggies are fresh though I’ll give them that. Won’t be back.

Love Thai Taste Matthews. Been going here for years. Always great service, clean, and amazing Thai food. The Thai iced tea is our family favorite. Can't go wrong with the daily lunch specials which come with soup and a spring roll, be aware that the lunch mmenu changes daily. You can still order from the regular menu. Cannot say enough good about this place. Hope you enjoy it as much as my family.

Ordered Pad Woon Sen. The spring roll was cold (not just not hot… but cold)! They brought me another but…??? The Pad Woon Sen was extremely bland… like a NO salt kind of bland and had zero flavor. I ended up dumping the chili sauce for the spring roll onto my dish to give it some kind of flavor. I used to get Pad Woon Sen at another Thai place at Blakeny that closed and this was so bland and such a disappointment. It’s too bad b/c I’m looking for a new Thai place to get Thai food in Southeast Charlotte but this was a very bad experience.

I love Pad Thai so I tried theirs and liked it. Now, I know where to go when I crave it. Husband had Poh Tak (soup) and, surprisingly, he liked it too as he isn’t into sour soup. Service was also commendable.
My only disappointment was that they didn’t have fresh lime when I asked for it - I was surprised cause lime is an integral ingredient in pad thai, but the staff immediately offered lemon in lieu of it.

From the west coast and had been craving some good Thai food and this place hit the spot. I love me some curry and theirs was delicious. Friendly staff, very attentive and attentive. We will be back form some of the other items. And to sit on their lovely patio!

I got the Thai sesame chicken and my girlfriend got the green curry with seafood. We also got the summer rolls (so so so good). AMAZING food, everything is so fresh and delicious. Staff and service was above and beyond as well. Everyone is so nice. Atmosphere is great too, so pretty. Definitely give this place a try.

Pad See Ew Beef- meh. Traditional ingredients not used. Noodles didn't have the wok charred normally found. Lacked flavor
Pad Woon Sen Pork- same, lacked flavored. Also weird ingredients, mushroom, celery. Never had wood sen like this.
Tod Mon Pla- worst ever. Rubbery fish nuggets. Tiny dollar coin sized. Dipping sauce was , meh, okay.
Very Americanized Thai.

Best Thai food in the area. I go about once a month and it is a 40 minute drive for me. Just great Thai food.

Had a lunch with a girl friend here, exceptional! I also appreciate iced tea being included with the meals. The tea is very good. Chicken pad Thai I recommend a 2 on the heat scale if you want a little kick of flavor but not too spicy. Parking can seem iffy but there’s quite a few options, actually.
