This easy to miss pizza shack is located next to the popular Seaboard Taproom in downtown Matthews. They are takeout only but seem to have a partnership or may be under the same owner ship as Seaboard as they will give you a table number and bring you your food inside if you wish to eat on sight. While on the outside they may not seem like much they have developed a cult following and I was very excited to try one of their Neapolitan pizzas they have become known for. I went with "Jeffrey's Joy". It came with chicken, bacon, ricotta, and olive oil, over a white sauce. The service was quick and the pizza tasted good however it seemed to be undercooked in the middle which resulted in it being extra floppy and hard to eat. I prefer a sturdier more thoroughly cooked slice so I was a little disappointed. I'm not going to write them off completely. May have just been a one off, and I certainly would be down to give another try when I find myself hungry in Matthews.

Hungry for something quick, uncomplicated and well prepared? This pizza place have a short-simple menu, nice staff and delicious wood-fired pizzas ?It’s right next to a wine and beer place ??which makes it very convenient for a chill meal; although you must order from a window, they give you a cone that you take with you to any table that you choose and there they look for you to leave your food ? it’s outdoors and now that the weather is changing to enter spring time, it makes it a very good spot ☺️? I did not remember to take a picture of our pizzas because I WAS STARVING! ? but we take some leftovers home and I totally devour them the following day ??

Delicious! We just discovered this place and can't believe we've missed it for all this time. The pizza is amazing. The dough is chewy and topping options are salad. The Maddie Rita and the Truffle pizza are my two favorites. You can also go to seaboard brewing for a drink and order pizza into the brewery. Nice to be able to do both! Take out is also great. Takes approximately 20 minutes.

The place was pretty good! It’s in the cut. The parking is alittle tricky, but it’s worth the hassle for the place. The pizza is Neapolitan style and it’s really good. It’s all one size and they are personal pizzas that come with about 8 slices each. I just got a regular pepperoni pizza and it filled me up and I couldn’t finish mine. They have an outside area or an inside bar you can sit at and enjoy your pizza. The staff were very friendly and the music was pretty chill. A nice spot to grab some good quality pizza!

The reason for this review is because we just called, went to voicemail..not a very professional greeting on the voicemail either..called back...what sounded like a younger girl answered, "thank you for calling exchange pizza Matthews location, please hold" CLICK! Not a, "can you please hold"The tone was extremely rude and she sounded irritated that we had the audacity to call in an order..oh and the order was for several pizzas to feed our family. You have lost a valuable client of many years. Shame on you and your lack of professionalism.
