I see a lot of reviews about a warm welcome as you come into the shop. We sure didn’t receive one. Not even a smile or a look our way to acknowledge we came in. Looking at the menu and weren’t asked if we needed help or wanted to order. Nothing. So we left and will not be returning. Very uncomfortable for us. The woman in the little thrift store was very nice however.

GREAT little ice cream store in middle of town, very friendly owner and amazing choices! The ice cream cones are always freshly made and the store is very easily accessed from either Main Street or sixth street! Further more the decor inside and out is adorable! The sign out front is easily seen and love the big open sign! Love the pergola too can’t wait to see it finished! Mrs Stacy has done an excellent job with this store and it’s definitely one of the better parts of this town!

We always enjoy our visits to Get the Scoop! We have our favorite flavors/combos which are always reliably good.. and sometimes when we're feeling froggy, we try other menu items, which are always great as well!
Love the atmosphere.. it's cozy, friendly & fun! We love supporting small businesses, especially in our own town.. it makes a difference to see familiar faces and be treated like family!

Get the scoop is a staple in the community- Not only is she welcoming to all- she allows my kids to do their “photoshoot “ every time they visit! — she cares so much about her customers that she even remembers the frequents- favorite orders. She loves serving the community outside of the brick and mortar also from the ice cream mobile at the park during festivals to also keeping the public engaged from attending town meetings to just this past weekend hiding Easter eggs throughout the area. The owners of this establishment are wonderful and a great asset to Maysville.

We stopped for ice cream on the way home from a camping trip, and my daughter walked up and raised herself to see the ice cream she was picking and was instantly grabbed and pushed down by a woman who has no lack of communication. Instead of using basic communication skills, one of the employees grabbed her and forced her back down, claiming it was for “safety.” No explanation, no courtesy—just hands on someone else’s child.
If your first instinct is to physically handle a kid that isn’t yours instead of speaking like a normal adult, you’ve got no business working around families. And when confronted, rolling your eyes and throwing your hands up? That told us everything we needed to know about your business and we left.
