And Linda.These ladies made our date night really nice.This is the kinda place you want to hear about, the owners who care and support their community.I would have loved to have loved the food.Disclaimer: GI issues here so -If we eat out and I don't get sick after, I know it's a safe, good place for me.If I get sick a bit after, could of been a food choice I made.If I get sick right after, like within 5-10 minutes? There's something amiss.I did indeed get an upset stomach on the way home.As to the food?Only the scallops were worth eating in my opinion.Those seemed fresh and cooked well.It felt like everything else was left under warming lamps too long or simply overcooked. The shrimp, flounder - tough and chewy.Frozen and thawed? I dunno.The deviled crab? Tasted like stove top stuffing and zero crab.They were polite enough to remove it from the bill.Oysters are a bit new for us but they seemed so small. Tasted okay. Just small. Like a penny.Hush puppies are hush puppies, as long as you don't burn them right?They did bring 3 baskets of those on the house.I'm sorry to hear they are closing at the end of December. Perhaps why the food is the way it is at this point?I could have seen this place in it's hay day. It exudes warmth and love as crazy as that sounds.We liked it there. We liked the people.We wish everyone well on their next endeavors.

First time eating here. Was expecting a bit more. Ordered popcorn shrimp with baked potato and cole slaw and also flounder with okra. The food was not seasoned well. Fish, shrimp and okra was a little soggy. I feel as if it could have been fried a little longer. Cole slaw was good after I added salt and pepper. Huey’s was not bad but for the price I’ve definitely had better.

Chairs where uncomfortable. The hush puppies where good. We ordered the deluxe platter and oyster stew. The oyster stew was milk and butter with a couple of hard oysters. The platter of fish was Sisco institute food. Flies were cold and broccoli with cheese was a slice of cheese on top.I will save you a trip don't go.

We always come here because prices are absolutely great, it’s always clean and the staff is always nice! The Food tastes great and fresh. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone! It’s one of our favorite places to take out of towners.
Food tasted good but they brought my fried food out to the car double knotted in a plastic bag, unvented in a plastic container. I had to tear the bag apart to vent the food before pulling off and it had already sweated out and was soggy. I didn't go back in to complain but I know next time if they'll be a next time.

Crab legs are always excellent! Hush puppies are sweet, oniony, and delicious. The fried chicken is also worth the wait. The salads are crisp and fresh. Blue cheese dressing is better than most restaurants.

Met a friend for a quick meal. I wasn't hungry, so I ordered the crab dip. It was too peppery for my liking. Too much black pepper or something. It was mostly filling, more like the filling for stuffed crab. This was my first time here. The building was very clean! We probably should have gone to the bar, but her daughter was with us.

The food was ok, chicken aLil dry and broccolli was not hot. Sweet potatoes were tiny but they were hot! I didn't get a refill on my water. To drive from So Ala Co to Mebane, I must say I wasn't really impressed!
