If I could give less I would. I would not recommend Lou's Bakery in Mebane at all. Purchased a custom birthday cake for a special celebration for my daughter, and not only did it look awful and unfinished, but it tasted awful, and really had no flavor, not to mention it was not what I ordered. The owner/ workers there were unapologetic and not willing to offer any sort of refund for a cake I had to throw out. Please be aware of this place.

We go to Lou’s regularly (weekly). We love the pies! We ordered a chocolate mouse tart for Easter and she delivered! It was savory, yet light and fluffy. Wonderful bakery.

I’m in love! So glad we have this bakery local to mebane. I’ve gone a few times and we’ve tried everything from the croissant special of the month to a cheesecake slice to a brownie and cookie. Everything was amazing. Service was great, especially to my toddler when we arrived 20ish minutes before closing.

Delicious, friendly, and cozy. What a wonderful experience! I love that we have a bakery like this downtow. My favorites are the pastrami and Swiss croissant, the Boston cream cupcake, and the bacon cheddar scones. So good!

My wife and I bought cupcakes for a gender reveal party, and they were big hit. The buttercream frosting was excellent, reminding me of the kind my mother used to make. The cake was excellent too. Really enjoyed them and plan to go back at some point.

My daughter and I got a cheese Danish & chocolate croissant. So delicious! Will definitely be stopping in again when we go back to Mebane.
The Valentine's cookie (pictured) was soft and crunchy, light and not very sweet. The gluten free Chocolate covered strawberries cake was superb. Again not heavy and very rich and moist. Over the weekend we got cheese Danish but it was consumed faster than I could get a picture. :)I'm coming back to try the other treats. Staff here are wonderful, they are always cheerful and welcoming. Downtown delicious gem.

We used Lou's Bakery for our wedding on Nov. 17, 2023 and the cake was amazing! Both the taste and look was exactly what we wanted. My sister sent her my inspo picture and it turned out almost exactly the same as the picture I sent. We went with a red velvet cake and buttercream icing. We had so many people asking us where we got our cake after the wedding because it tasted so amazing! The cake was even delivered to us, which helped make the wedding day process run smooth! (This is my own cake stand and topper, so these did not come with it.)
