Martinho's Bakery & Deli offers a pleasant dining experience with attentive table service, although the decor has become more generic. The food is plentiful and satisfying for the price range, featuring standout items like the Chicken Philly cheese steak and the "small" Calzone, which is large enough to serve as two meals for many. Customers have praised the tasty meatball sub, noting the hearty and toasty bread. The restaurant is known for its delectable desserts and maintains a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere. The bakery offers a good selection of breads and desserts, and the small eatery can get quite busy during meal times, making it noisy and congested. Service times can be slow, especially for lunch orders, with some customers waiting up to 25 minutes for their food. The food quality is generally good, with authentic Italian sauce and the best chicken parm in Alamance County, according to some reviews. However, some find the prices a bit high unless taking advantage of daily specials, and the Cheesesteak meat can be bland, needing salt and ranch. The owner is attentive and helpful, ensuring a positive customer experience. Overall, the prices are reasonable for the serving size, making it one of the popular places to eat in Mebane.
