First time back here in years....loved it. Wife loved the fried flounder and sides and the BLT was very good too. We'll definitely be back !

The new management is doing a great job! This is more like the Bob's I remember.The fried squash is one of the best I've ever had, so thin, so crispy. Onion rings and mashed potatoes are good. The catfish is good. I don't recommend the mac +cheese, it was kind of congealed.

It was our first time at Bobs family restaurant & Alaina was our waitress. She was over the top, extremely friendly, helpful & efficient. Very small but homey atmosphere & we will definitely be back!

2nd night of New Owners Opening. (Aka Americana Restaurant, Matthews NC).Food is really good. Iced tea is great. Love their corn muffins. I had the Chicken tips over Rice - very good.

Great food, awesome owners, nice local diner. Always friendly.Update 2/20/2024. Under new management, same folks that own the Americana in Matthews, food is fantastic, restaurant has been spruced up, I'm so glad that it's back open. The new folks are super nice, dining area is clean. I cannot say enough about the food, country style steak and mashed potatoes, fried squash and green beans, delicious, absolutely delicious.

While the food was passable, I could not get past all the dead flies lining the window sills. I guess this is one way to curb hungry appetites of patrons. There is no excuse for not maintaining a clean restaurant, especially one as small as this one is. A little effort and taking pride in sprucing things up would go a long ways.
