Food is always amazing but the service is lacking and the atmosphere is abysmal. Last 3 times we came here was to watch a game because its a sports bar and, well we liked the food, but we haven’t been able to watch any of the games despite them being huge games. One was a World Series game, owner didnt have the channel. One was a Panther’s game, still didnt have it. Last night was the NC State game, March Madness, huge game on regular cable so I know they have it and even saw it play on a smaller TV across the restaurant before the owner quickly changed it. I could see 10 different TVs from my table and every single one of them was playing a UNC game except one tv was playing highschool wrestling? Asked our server if she could get the state game on, she just laughed and said we’ll see and the TV did not change until over an hour later when we had already paid and were walking out. These were not small games, some of the biggest games of the year and the owner of a sports bar straight up refusing to play them is wild to me.The worst part though is the back room. There are 5 tables in there. One in each corner and one in the middle. Several times now including last night they have sat me and my wife in the back room at the middle table surrounded by 4 tables full of kids. 9 children total. I got to listen to ipads and screaming children while I waited 50 mins for my food after I ordered and couldn’t even watch the game while I waited an unusually long time. I could see empty tables open in the other room the whole time I was there and other people who showed up 15-20 mins after us get their food and leave despite us simply ordering burgers. Not sure why we always get sat in the back and receive bad service when we are always quiet, polite, and tip very well.I love the food and the first few times we ate here were amazing but the last 3 times we came we were treated rather poorly by staff. I recommend doing takeoutKid-friendliness: Way too many children running around and being unruly. If you’re reading this and your child is not able to be at a restaurant conversing with you and entertaining themselves, and they need an iPad just to hold their attention, they are not old enough to be at a restaurant and you are not doing enough as a parent.

I love the Buffalo Chicken sandwich here, always seasoned to perfection and so juicy with a hint of spicy. Not overbearing or have you sweating from your meal. I added (pickles, bacon and permento cheese) to it. I can honestly say this been the best buffalo chicken sandwich IMO??? My fries were a bit salty and I’ll make sure to not have any?‍? The atmosphere is typical bar/grub spot, tucked in a nice little plaza area. If in the area check them out, nothing fancy shmancy? Good ol bar-ish grub, but a small town vibe to it!

If you like loud music, tight seating, and loud drunks at the bar, this is your place. The burgers are very good. Service really leaves you alone, you need to flag them down.

Have not had anything here that was not good from drinks to appetizers to entrees. Would love to see them bring back their shrimp n' grits.... were the best I have had anywhere.

The stars don't really handle the areas for improvement! This was our first time at Dunwellz. I usually avoid places with all hard surfaces, but we went early to avoid the noise, which worked just fine. The good: Excellent music at a normal volume. Tons of TVs, but no volume. Total win there. Big burger, probably 1/2 pound. I'll never understand why restaurants don't say burger size on the menu. Crispy bacon. Tasty dessert, but not very big for the price. The less good: Sea salt? Absolutely disgusting on non seafood. If you can't contain yourself, put out both, please. Tiny potato. I don't think that I've seen a potato this small from a restaurant...ever. Dessert not really enough to share despite the price. Ordering was...a challenge. Sauces? What the heck? Why not call them condiments like the rest of the world? We had no idea what the girl was talking about and figured it was bbq and the like. It was nearly a battle to get them to NOT put things on the burger. I don't get it. If a customer doesn't want mayo/pickle/whatever...you can't not put it on their food knowing it'll be delivered to the table so the customer can throw it away? Who thinks like this???So many restaurants seem to want to serve what the cooks want to make instead of what the customer asks for these days. The food was good. Prices were fair. The experience left us wanting to eat elsewhere and I don't think that we'll be back. There are too many places that make ordering easier.

Normally great service from host, service, to-go and great food. However, even though they list themselves as a sports bar… they do not include sound for playoff games.

Love the burgers and the sweet potato tots service is also great. Have always been pleased there and is one of my favorites in the area.

Good food burgers awesome, just don't sit at bar and have the short bartender with long black hair wait on you , if you do make sure you pay card, if you pay cash she will short change you and smile and walk off. Place is great if you are local in that area. Good food just very shady bartender so get a table Food 5 stars Bartender- her negative -1

As always, a great selection of beers and food. I tried the southern chicken sandwich tonight. It was a bit spicy and a bit sweet. In all, it was delicious. I may have to get this again, or maybe the French dip, which is my tried and true favorite.
