Rancho Jalisco in Mint Hill — A Hidden Gem that Delivers Every Time!

This place was recommended to me by a retired Lieutenant General from the U.S. Army, so I had to check it out… and now I’ve been back three days in a row. That says it all.

✅ The food is amazing — a perfect blend of Tex-Mex favorites and authentic traditional Mexican dishes. Everything I’ve tried has been flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. You can taste the care in every bite.

✅ The restaurant is spotless. Super clean dining area, bathrooms, and kitchen. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here, and it shows.

✅ Service is excellent. Friendly staff who truly care about making your experience great. They treat you like family.

✅ Consistency is key — and Rancho Jalisco nails it. Three visits, three flawless meals.

If you’re anywhere near Mint Hill, don’t miss this spot. Delicious food, warm service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere every time.

I drive by every day and decided to check it out. We went on a Saturday for lunch, we started out with the guacamole to go with the chips and salsa for the table. Best guacamole I have ever had it was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the chicken quesadilla comes with rice and beans everything was flavorful. My lunch guest ordered steak fajitas, the tortillas were warm and delicious the steak and veggies well seasoned. A little pricy for lunch at $48 with no tip and no alcohol. Will go again just for the guacamole and the food was good as well.

Fantastic you have to check it out!

Placed 2 orders. The person that took the order read it back. Picked it up and got home 1 meal. Called and they had no idea what happened. I hung up Manager called back very rude did not offer to correct the issue. Also you are charged a take out fee. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant.

The location of Rancho Jalisco has had several Mexican restaurants over the years. All have come and gone because they were average. Sadly, Rancho Jalisco is no different in my opinion. It's like so many Mexican restaurants in the area; they must all use the same food supplier. It's all the same average food and bland taste. Albemarle Rd. and Central Ave. are filled with authentic Mexican food places. Unless you want average Americanized Mexican food, maybe try one of them.

Great food and service. More people need to find this place. Great value for the meals. Almost half our crowd had carryout since they couldn't finish their dishes.

I used to order from here frequently before the management change..& this is my 1st since the change & will be my last. The quesadillas were ok but the portions for side of guacamole & tomatoes were very small & especially knowing before they were much larger before the management change. My guacamole was poorly made & mostly brown.

Hate to spend money and get a poor product hopefully no one else has this experience!

The food is so so SO good. And Fresh! So fresh. I’ve dined in and order take out. It’s even great reheated the next day! The guac is made fresh. The tacos, quesadillas, fajitas and chimichanga are sooooo delicious! Highly recommend! My 2 and 4 year old even love it! The staff is very friendly, fast and efficient!

My favorite Mexican food in Charlotte is Azteca...but boy, El Valle gives them a run for it....So good, authentic and friendly!!! Give it a shot...you won't regret it!!!

No complaints just compliments!! Was better than I expected and the food had great flavor! Everything was great. Only thing I had to do was add salt to the fresh Guac. Otherwise a great experience.
