Food was amazing!!!! Hushpuppies were incredible. Bbq was super super good and crunchy tots ! Very busy for lunch, only 1 server and seemed a tad overwhelmed. Took a while to sit due to messy tables.

Went for the first time today, and I loved it! I got the fried chicken sandwich. It was juicy and crunchy and had just a bit of spice. The bun was toasted to perfection. And don't get me started about the fried okra--best I've had since moving to Charlotte. The family and I will definitely be visiting again!

My fiance used to brag about j-birds food all the time but we live in FM and anytime we were down in the area they were closed. Luckily, we had a chance one day to go for lunch due to jobsites being close. We have gone for almost every lunch we work over there. The burgers are AMAZING!!! I always get a pimento burger, and a side of onion rings. If i could eat this every day I would. 10/10 recommend. After just a few times, the waitresses remembered us and our orders. I love this place!

They use to be penny's place. Now they're j birds. Promptly greeted with a smile, given time to check the menu, drinks promptly brought, food order taken in decent time AND brought out hot and fresh, and beyond reasonable prices for portions.

Ok, so this place is just amazing. You got to come early, or you're not getting a seat for sure. The burgers are hand pressed and cooked to order. Fresh. The fries and tater tots are awesome. Especially with chili and cheese on them. And either be hungry or just get a single. Lol. And the waitresses are always smiling and helpful. So, don't miss out on this place cause if you do, you'll be missing some great food.
