Wayback has always been a great place to visit in Mint Hill for food. While there are many great options in town, very little beats a burger and fries from here. Pricing is around $15 for a burger, side, and drink. Service is relatively quick, and everyone is helpful and welcoming (Shoutout Lisa). The interior is small, which does make seating difficult during busy hours, but that’s only when the weather doesn’t permit sitting outside on the patio.Vegetarian options: The menu does have non-meat options for those who want them. They offer the gardenburger, which is plant based burger prepared in the fryer. They also offer Impossible burgers, which are plant based and grilled like a normal burger. They also have Caesar salad, for those who want that.

Wayback Burgers has an extensive menu. Being my first time I went with a Cheeeesy Burger combo. The hamburger was fresh made to order but I wish they would season the patties a little more. Overall a good experience and if in the area again I will come back again. Location is a bit small but has really friendly service.

The best burger and hotdogs I got in 49 years. I got a classic burger with fries and a chili dog with Coleslaw, plus chocolate brownie milk shake.

I tried a few different things to get a feel for the flavors and ingredients. The food was fresh, made to order very quickly, portions were pretty good.I wish there were more cheese curds, and a few more onion rings, but both were good. I actually really liked the fried pickles, I wish they were little crisp but all in all they were good and of course highly recommending it fresh versus bringing it home for obvious reasons.Cheesesteak, buffalo chicken sandwich, A1 Burger were excellent cooked and made perfectly, all the ingredients really pulled together for great flavor. The ingredients on the sandwiches were very good from a portion perspective and quality. All in all not bad. We love the Sundae shop and five guys is a step up from this, but all in all no complaints!Never been before and glad I tried it. We highly recommend a visit - and the young lady at the cash register was just phenomenal. While waiting for the food, you could tell that she knew her regulars and they also adored her so that was cool! It’s one thing to have good food, but if you’ve got great service, and you make the time to build relationships to where they are regulars? That says a lot about the owners/staff and is often just as important (if not more so) than the food!

WOW!! VERY friendly service! But that is where the "great" experience stops. We ordered the Southwest burger (chili and fritos) and I had the chili cheese hotdog and chili/cheese tots. The slaw for the hotdog was HORRIBLE! It had like a creamy sour thousand island taste. The onions were good. The hotdog was a 1/2 pounder (that's why I gave the food 2 stars.) The chili tasted like Hormel and was runny. The cost??? A mere $5.19 + $1.15 for chili. NOW the southwest burger... (made it a single because the picture looked HUGE!) VERY deceiving! There.was a teaspoon of chili and 4 small size corn chips for a mere $6.89 + $1.15 for chili. ?‍♀️. The tater tots had cheese sauce and chili that reminded me of what you get at a baseball game. And those were a mere $6.14 + tax... (6 tater tots!!) This little meal set us back $25.34. Needless to say, we will NOT be back.

First discovered Wayback when I moved to Charlotte. Over a year later and it's still one of my favorite places to eat. Great food. Awesome atmosphere. Terrific staff and management. The female manager/owner is very friendly and welcoming. 5 stars indeed.
