Old my goodness ❤️ The staff was top- notch, the food was awesome and the atmosphere was wonderful. We set in the renovated area close to the fireplace. We had a party of 6. We tried different appetizers and a variety of menu selections. Wow! When I tell you everything was delicious 😋. Will be back soon❣️

My friend and I finally got to eat at O'Callahan's (12/26/25). I was excited to try to food of course but wanted to check out the atmosphere. We had a reservation. I specified not in a busy or high traffic area. Great table! The reuban wontons were delicious but the mustard dipping sauce can be eaten on anything. I'll simply say the Shepherd's pie was divine. A deep rich flavor you won't forget. The dessert of apple torte with ice cream almost knocked me out. Our server and the bartender went above and beyond while my friend and I talked, ate, sang, drank, opened presents, talked, ate, sang, and had a phenomenal time! We will return! Thank you!

We have enjoyed O'Callahan's for a few years. I think we have always got the Fish & Chips, not sure we even look at the rest of the menu. We were excited to see the new expansion and ate there on 12/27. We were seated next to the large fireplace (It was not on). Lots of pictures of historic Mocksville on the walls. There was fairly loud music playing. I ordered a Guinness and the waitress said they were out. My wife and I were surprised since it's a staple at this place. The host walked by and suggested a Miller Lite. I asked the waitress for a Smithwick. We both got the Fish & Chips. This time, similar to a few times in the past, there was too much breading which doesn't get crispy. Hopefully they were just busy and didn't get it done correctly. Will try again.

Some of the best Shepherd's Pie and Chicken Pot Pie I have ever dated and I have eaten a bunch. We got the pretzel bites. Very good. We got the Brussels Sprouts. Tasted good but most were cold. Seems they use frozen instead of fresh which is shocking given the high end nature of this place. Service was amazing. Cheesecake was very good. Will absolutely be eating here again.

Where to start? The food-fabulous. The decor-gorgeous. And the attention? Over.The.Top! Josiah deserves 10 stars! It's a 2.5 hour drive, but we will be back.

My husband and I and two friends ate at O’Callaghan’s on Saturday night, December 6, 2025. We had reservations, and our table was ready. The rock music was very loud, making it very difficult to have a conversation. We asked our server if the music could be lowered, and she said she would check. More appropriate music would have been Christmas for this time of the year, played softly as background music. Our friends shared a meal and were charged a $4 sharing fee, although just two weeks earlier, they shared the same meal without a sharing charge. We often choose this restaurant but will dine elsewhere after this unpleasant experience last night‼️

We came a little early n got well served. Split 2 plates of fish n chips...added a great house salad n a couple Guinness.

We come here quite frequently the food is always great and so is the service tonight we had Alex and she was amazing! Super sweet and attentive to me and my husband as well as our son.

Perfect. authentic stop downtown with excellent food! Great staff. Very nice interactive fun atmosphere experience. Bangers & Mash were spot on, the burger was perfect. It was an amazing, welcoming place.

Best reuben around!!!!

Went to O’Callahan’s this evening at the recommendation of the hotel front desk clerk. Very pleased with our choice. The Shepherds Pie was awesome, my wife enjoyed her Reuben. The Guinness was smooth and delicious. Warm, welcoming environment. We were greeted and seated promptly upon arrival. Everyone was very friendly. Josiah was our server. He was really one of the most courteous and restaurant workers we’ve ever met. Would highly recommend O’Callahan’s and we will be sure to return on our next trip through.

May 14, 2025 I had such a nice lunch at O’Callahan’s yesterdays. I met two friends there, I had shrimp and grits, they each had a Rueben, we were all happy with our meals. The best part of the experience was our waiter, Josiah, he was wonderful. We will definitely return soon and ask for Josiah, hopefully he will be available. Kim Gleason

I do not recommend going out for a fun night while Jess is bartending! Was questioned who was driving and told no longer serve my group, for simply asking why we were questioned and not singles well beyond drunk. We had a DD. Very snobby attitude from bartender. Will not be returning.

We ordered takeout and food was excellent! We will be ordering from here again and will definitely recommend to others!
