“I have not personally eaten here. I do know they are an authentic mexican place, I am not big on mexican food, but my hubby loves it here! I will say their Horchata is to DIE for!!! I always go here to get me a big ole drink of it. I am addicted! It's so sweet and soothing!”

“This restaurant is located in front of the Lowes Hardware Store and is accessible from both East and Westbound Interstate 40 and East and Westbound US 64 by the use of US 601 ( Yadkinville Road ). My wife and I stopped by for lunch, I ordered the hibachi chicken with rice and mixed vegetables and she ordered the hibachi shrimp with rice and mixed vegetables. The meals were served to us fresh and hot from the kitchen and in large portions. The food was good and our waiter was outstanding. “Service was awesome. Delicious sweet tea. Eclectic menu. We had patty melt, bbq quesidilla, and daily special sloppy joe. Food was delicious. Only thing I'd change was didn't care for rye bread on patty melt. But that's a personal preference. When we go back I'll ask for different bread.”

“Heard good things about the Rusty Gate and finally had a chance to check it out for myself. It's at the site of the old Maw Maw's Restaurant on 158 near Farmington Rd. Parking is close and it's easy access off 158. Walking I , it gives off the vibe of a small town eatery. Love it. I seated myself and was greeted by a server with a menu. But I never looked at the menu. Their specials board caught my attention: cheeseburger and fries for $7.99! Did I see that right? Did I die and was seeing a flashback to 2010? No sir! It was legit, $7.99. UNHEARD OF TODAY! The restaurant is clean and cozy. My server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the burger all the way, as it should be. The food came out fairly quickly. The fries were crinkle cut (which I love) The burger was well dressed and prepared to order. The fries were hot. The burger and fries met expectations. The food was good, service was good and it was a comfortable atmosphere to sit and have a nice relaxing lunch. Definitely will be back. It's worth a stop if you find yourself in the area.”

“The new philly sandwich is tasteless. The mac and cheese bites are good. The girl at the counter was friendly. Was in the bathroom and a staff worker was in the stall next to me. She left wothout washing her hands. When I came out she was behind the counter. The facility was clean.”

“I met up with friends there for the first time. Great food. The two servers seemed very unhappy but were productive. I liked the looks of the place and I'll go back by myself and sit at the bar.”

“Ordered takeout crispy scallion chicken and sweet & sour chicken, both were great. They provide option to make any spicy items less spicy on request. Ordered at the front and it was about a 15 min wait before the food was ready (two other groups dining in at the time, at least one other takeout order came in as well). Good portion sizes as well. Overall, good food for a decent price, would order from here again!”

“A quaint family owned restaurant offering authentic Mexican food. We eat here at least once if not twice a week. Their cheese dip is the best around, and so are their prices. I’ve only ever had an issue with things being missing when I order take out; but they’ve been nice and fixed them.”

“for those who love NY style pizza - this is fantastic - literally my fav pizza in the whole Triad area (so far). Surprising considering it's coming out of a gas station, lol - but there's a real pizza oven. All the food there is really good. Highly recommend.”

“I had corned beef and cabbage. It was good. My husband had shrimp and grits. Also tasty. The serving sizes were generous. Our server was great. They take reservations! Walk-ins are welcome also.”
